This motel is beautifully situated on L Taupo so if you don't have a lakefront room it's only a few steps to the lake anyway

Motel is a 1970s building which is dated in both the decor and insulation. It has a heat pump and small oil heater in the bedroom making the rooms warm but being single glazed the windows in colder weather which I experienced during my stay are like a tsunami in the morning. The kitchen cupboard under the sink smelt old and needed a thorough cleaning
