Location Clean Good towels in the room

Manager on duty very unhelpful to a friend who had also booked into the hotel but had somehow cancelled her booking - clearly her mistake - but manager could have been more sympathetic - tried to help.

"Comfortable and friendly - a bit tight in the room."

Good reception and good food. Room was comfortable, once I realised the window could stay open. Well equipped, long comfortable bath. Handy parking. Not much else in Welshpool but found some (rather neglected) bits of the Montgomery Canal and some interesting churches. Beautiful countryside on the doorstep.

Room and especially bathroom were a bit exiguous for a full-price double room. Quite a lot of stairs.

"The most terrible customer service at reception."

Bad experience

They said I did not have a booking despite me showing them my booking . com active booking . They were totally unhelpful and just said there was no booking . I rang booking . Com who confirmed the booking but the hotel refused to acknowledge it
