the service is great, all of the staff are very friendly.

the room AC controllers are not easy to operate. a manual will be helpful.

Just 20 min from the airport, this is an oldish hotel but holding up Ok check in but they did upgrade for my ambassador status The suite is large, has the old fashioned reddish wood. Interesting attic design with angular and curved ceilings and windows. Also a swivel tv in the bedroom. Sufficient channels including CNN, HBO and CNA The gym and pool oldish and the locker room somewhat grimy Wrote a seperate review for the breakfast restaurant 9/10

Great hotel in Xiamen

(+) Early check in, abundant breakfast, tasty dinner, complimentary water, spacious room with a huge comfy bed, working space, bath tub, shower, mini-bar. I liked the honesty of the staff members, when I asked them about the taxi. They offered their own service but also said that taking a taxi at the airport should not be an issue. (-) The location of the hotel is not very central. There are no many things around. WiFi connection can be improved. My room was on the 9th floor and the view was not so amazing.

The pool was closed and I was not informed about it in advance. There was a note in the room that the pool is closed without any information, when it would be open again.

The was a genuinely good surprise. The value is outstanding. A couple of key highlights. Breakfast catered for all nationalities. The rooms are very spacious and well kept. The gym was excellent - definitely one the better hotel gyms I have been to. The location is less than 30min from the airport. If I am in Xiamen again I am staying at the Westin.
