"Great place to stay and eat with special considerations for those with a dog!"

Location is great for a stop off on the way from Scotland to the south of England’s- not too much of a detour off the motorway to find a place that is is comfortable and dog friendly - it suits our needs perfectly

Beds are relatively small but limited by the room sizes

"Stunning setting and lovely staff"

Lovely staff, beautiful setting and good food

At the last minute the toilet refused to flush! Location was also marred by County Council road closures which defeated Satnav. No fault of hotel but needs to be fed back to Highway Authority that their actions have an impact on tourism and the local economy!

The location is superb, helped by gorgeous weather. The wide choice of decent cask ales. Excellent variety of the menu. Friendly, helpful staff
