Hotel Albemarle Galapagos Beachfront

The hotel is very nice, we had an ocean view room on the first floor. Breakfast is good - they have foils on the food to avoid any kind of mosquitos. Do not book tours from the hotel desk, we found out that you find the same tours at half the price by walking in the plaza and asking any agency.

Amazing hotel with an insanely beautiful view. The wifi is abysmal, but let's face it, that's not why you're there. Daniel was great on the front desk, really helpful. Good breakfast and nice pool. The bed was super comfy too! Would definitely recommend.

It is a beautiful and comfortable hotel on the beach, with very good beds and delicious breakfast. The staff is very kind and helpful. However, it can get really noisy during the weekend (we stayed 3 nights) because it is located right behind the town's main square where there are very loud speakers during the day. Also, there's a soccer field next to the hotel, also with loud speakers until late at night, and they played several times on Saturday and Sunday. Monday night was quiet.

The staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations for tours and sight seeing. The hotel is in a perfect location on the beach near restaurants. The breakfast is very good. Would highly recommend this hotel. 5 star rating!!!!!!!

This is a beautiful hotel conveniently located on the beach. The rooms and all the common areas were meticulously kept. We were extremely comfortable during our stay. The breakfast was tasty and I appreciated having freshly brewed coffee (with milk!!) available all day (verses just a bottle of Nescafé). The staff (especially Gabriella) were extremely accommodating and helpful in providing bike rental recommendations. We used the pool and sun terrace in addition to the gorgeous beach right outside. I highly recommended staying here while visiting Puerto Villamil. The one downside was that our room was right next to a soccer court where kids played at night. We could hear them very clearly from our bedroom. We could also hear the loud music from the beach. It didn’t really bother us but it may bother light sleepers.

Magnificent experience to discover this wonderful place, the hotel is totally recommended, excellent attention and service, the breakfast was delicious and the room very comfortable. There are many activities to do both through tours and if you love walking. I would really do it again.

Sweet boutique hotel right on the white sandy beach- listen to the waves on the sea and feel the breezes thru the window, and the nicest friendliest staff and owner. Good breakfast!

This was a lovely place right on the beach. Gabrielle and Juan Francisco were so helpful. They made our trip a real pleasure. The room was big and we had a view of the ocean. We could walk anywhere we liked for meals. They helped us set up tours or get a taxi if we wanted to go beyond.

Really nice hotel right on the beach. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Large rooms. Nice pool. Includes breakfast which is always a plus. Complimentary tea/coffee/water available at all times. The staff go above and beyond and the location could not be better.

Spent 3 nights here. The hotel was as advertised - right across from the beach, bright and well appointed with a small balcony that opened out to the road across from the beach. The internet was wonky - there were at least 3 different wifis, none of which worked all that week from our room (first floor, beach facing). Breakfast was good, the pool was nice and in an open area. When we confirmed, as required that we would arrive on our date and time, the day before via ferry, the hotel rep responded “we’ll be waiting for you.” No one showed up at the dock, when we asked the desk attendant she flatly said “we don’t do that, I’m not sure who told you that” - so we showed the message, and the response was “someone in Quito wrote that, I don’t know why, I’ll look into it.” We didn’t hear back. Finally, be forewarned, they billed us for the room a full 2 months before the trip (even before the cancellation/refund period lapsed) “to reserve our room” because of high season. Not a huge problem, just not something that was expected based on selecting the “pay at the property” option.
