Came here for a friend’s wedding and the service was amazing! Harry went above and beyond and did everything possible to make our evening enjoyable. He is an absolute asset to the team here!

Excellent afternoon tea. A lovely variety of sandwiches and yummy delicious cakes. All served by professional attentive staff and in lovely surroundings. Top marks to all the team.

We booked our Wedding at Stanbrook Abbey in October 2024 for July 2025 and although short notice in the world of weddings, the venue were fantastic! Obviously, the scenery everywhere he is absolutely stunning with plenty of opportunities for photography / videography. Also, every single member of staff we came across during each visit was friendly and professional. The food was amazing! The wedding menu tasting experience was wonderful and very generous and the kitchen were more than flexible to meet our requirements. Breakfast both mornings was fabulous too and so many of our guests commented on the quality of all the food we had whilst we were there. The meal the night before in Georges bar, the wedding breakfast, pizza and breakfast both mornings were all a dream and I was proud to be inviting our guests to join us. We began working with Wedding co-ordinator, Caylie, almost straight away and we will never forget her kindness, patience and professionalism! There wasn't a question that was left unanswered and we felt comfortable and organised with her constant support. From answering my endless emails with sometimes repeated questions, to meeting us the day before to reassure us and running back and forth on the morning of the wedding to ensure everything went smoothly for both us, we could not thank Caylie enough. On our wedding day, Caylie also introduced us to Clyde, who was also fantastic and always there when we needed him. The venue also recommended a Toastmaster, Simon, who was without question, one of the best decisions we made regarding the organisation, flow and vibe of our day. He kept the day flowing nicely, took away the stress and kept a smile on everyones faces! Guests commented on his professionalism also and credit to Stanbrook Abbey for this recommendation. Caylie also sorted out extras for our elderly guest, who with serious dietary requirements and a few mobility issues could have been tricky to organise. Caylie did everything in her power to make sure this was also stress free and I will be forever grateful for the seperate food and the extra comfortable chairs that were provided so that my nan could be in attendance all day with ease. The venue was easy to work with, we visited a few times with family and were able to access when we needed to aid wedding planning and we were even able to get in the night before the wedding to start setting things up. Another real show stopper is the Manor House. The bridal party stayed in here the night before and it really made the experience amazing. 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, its own garden, kitchen with everything you could possibly need! So much space to get ready and accomodate make up artists etc with its own parking and entrance. The access to the main hotel via the corridor also makes it so easy and was a wonderful walk to take before I went down the aisle! I really felt like royalty and gave that extra special feel to the day before. Just to add, the larger St Annes room looks like a marquee but has a great aircon system which was hugely appreciated in a wedding dress in 27° July day! Loads of space and the flexibility to make our day exactly as we'd dreamed! All of the hotel rooms were beautiful and, again, all guests commented on the quality and cleanliness of the entire hotel. Stanbrook Abbey will always have a place in our heart and we're already planning when we will return! We want to do it all again! A very big Thank You to all!

Welcome, cleanliness and food were all superb. Service in the bar can only be described as odd, with passive-aggressive reactions to questions from ourselves and other guests. A young team who were more interested in each other than their Guests. The biggest issue though was the temperature of the room which was like being in a sauna. The hotel had installed a wall fan, but this didn't make much difference and was very noisy. We had our dog with us, so assumed they had no other dog-friendly rooms available.

Beautiful location, excellent staff, jaw dropping creature rooms. A real gem. We came here first on our wedding night 7 years ago and have been returning every year possible. We don’t plan on ever stopping. If I had one note, it would be that the restaurant could use a tasting menu. You’ve put a lot of effort into the food but it needs a hook to really make it special and a tasting menu would really make dinner into an event to make a whole evening out of.

We just had our wedding at Stanbrook Abbey in June and honestly we had the time of our life - from our very first encounterrr being shown round the stunning hotel 18months ago to our perfect day that went without a Hitch! Nothing has ever been too much trouble, Liza looked after us in the lead up to the wedding and honestly I don’t think I’ve ever been treated with more respect in my life! She was all over everything happy to answer any questions I had even if they were silly and a year earlier than they needed to be asked or worried about she was just incredible, then on the wedding day we had Clyde as our event manager and he was honestly the best he’d appear out of nowhere exactly when you needed him as if he just had a sense you needed something - to the main wedding party he was attentive, kept us and our day on track, helpful, and so fun - to our average guest they didn’t even know he was there he blended in so well - he ran our day perfectly and was our favourite person on the day ever! In terms of the food in the lead up to the wedding we had quite afew meals at Stanbrook and we have never once had a bad meal and our wedding menu was nothing short of exceptional! the staff were incredible every single one was respectful, gave amazing service and played a key role in making our day go without a hitch, the venue speaks for itself it’s gorgeous and every single one of our guests has since said it’s the best wedding venue they have ever ever been to. I haven’t had a single negative experience and I’m not doing this review with rose tinted glasses on because I’m so happy I’ve just had my wedding - I say with all sincerity NOTHING WENT WRONG THE WHOLE WEEKEND WAS PERFECT SMOOTH SAILING and the wedding went without a single issue!! We recenty stayed at Stanbrook Abbey Hotel for seven days. We booked the Cardinal Suite and it was well worth it. Situated on the to p floor overlooking the hotel front and with its own very large balcony the accomodation was large and extremely well equiped. With its six seater table we choose to take our meals in the suite and room service was always on time and well presented. As a disabled guest this facility was welcome. The hotel staff were most efficient at looking after us and meeting our requirements and expectations for seven days, not easy at the best of times! Situated in large grounds with plenty of parking space the hotel hosts weddings and school proms etc in accomodation which does not interfere with hotel guests. This is a delighful hotel ideally positioned for visits to the Cotswolds, the Mmalverns, there is plenty to see or do. there is even plenty to see in the hotel itself being once an Abbey and Convent. Well worth a visit

Lovely location for a special birthday celebration (there were 10 of us) and if there are no special dietary requirements, the standard afternoon tea looked delicious. However, if you require gluten free I would not recommend as the scones were tiny, flat like shortbread and so crunchy that I struggled to cut them in half and they blasted into many pieces - worst I've ever had and so disappointing for such a lovely place. We waited over 1h 15 for the food to be brought (perhaps due to a friend's last min order for dairy free) and then they seemed to mix up gluten free and the vegan menu for my friend. I was not well on the evening, think I may have been glutened via the mix up of menus despite being assured it was all gluten free.

Myself and my husband made the best decision picking Stanbrook Abbey for our civil. We were looking for a venue which was able to provide a package for a small number of guests and to accommodate our dog Caesar. Stanbrook Abbey provided all of what we wanted! The grounds are absolutely stunning with a rich history and the rooms are spacious with a modern twist. My entire family were impressed with the grounds and thoroughly appreciated help with any requests made on the day. We really do miss our wedding day so much! Special thanks to Jodie and Clyde who were an absolute pleasure to work with!

Our family of three would like to thank Stanbrook Abbey Hotel staff and management for an incredible weekend getaway. Hotel staff went above and beyond to make our stay a fantastic and unforgettable experience. Special thanks go to Irina and Georgia (restaraunt/catering) who made us feel at home, answered all our queries and were very attentive throughout our stay as well as to Megan at the reception who helped accommodate our special request prior to arrival. Additionally, we are thankful to Dougie (maintenance) who has a wealth of knowledge about the history of Stanbrook Abbey and who was kind enough to answer our very specific questions about the Abbey and its customs and traditions. Genuine 5 star service. We'll be back!
