Stanbrook Abbey

Just e joyed our 5th visit to this wonderful hotel. It's handily placed for exploring Worcestershire, the North Cotswolds, and South Shropshire. We were celebrating our anniversary, and the staff kindly upgraded us to Pugin Room. There is loads of room, a big bathroom, a very comfy settee, and a proper size table. We were very comfortable there. The restaurant offers fine dining at a reasonable price. We always enjoy our meals there. Our stays are usually 2 nights, and on the 2ns night it is nice to eat in George's Bar which is more casual. It's all very stylish but comfortable, with loads of history. (It was once a convent). The gardens are extensive and well manicured. We hope to return next year

This was easily the best place we’ve stayed all of our honeymoon! The staff were so sweet, room was beautiful and had an amazing view - breakfast was great and the bar was top notch as well! Definitely hope to make it out this way and stay here again

Absolutely loved the game room! So many fun games to choose from even though my husband beat me at billiards game ;-)

Stayed at Stanbrook Abbey for one night - one of the best sleeps I have had for a while! Dinner was lovely, very relaxing and food was delicious, and we got a nice birthday plate for my partner - thank you! Breakfast was also delicious, and make sure you explore the whole hotel, they have a games room which we really enjoyed before dinner. Thank you all for a great stay.

Stayed here to visit RHS Malvern and decided this would be a nice treat. The property is amazing and all the staff that we met were excellent. We booked dinner in the Refectory restaurant for the two nights as it was an AA rosette recommendation. However the dining experience was not what we expected. Although the food presentation, quantity and quantity were fine our meals on both nights were far from hot and some of the vegetables were almost cold. Not wishing to wait for replacements we ate them and mentioned this to the waitress who promised to pass the feedback to the chef. Expecting breakfast to be prepared fresh in a hotel of this quality we were disappointed to find a rather tired looking buffet which looked and tasted as if it had been sat since the start of service. The toast and croissants however were very good. Sadly not the treat that we had hoped for.

My friends and I visited Stanbrook Abbey recently, for 'coffee and a catch up'. I had never been before and so was particularly looking forward to going. The weather was beautiful and we sat outside on the terrace. When the waitress came out to us, first impressions were not promising. The waitress was quite sullen and abrupt when we asked about the choice of cakes on offer and as there was only one cake available and no option to have any type of pastry, we just ordered our hot drinks. The reply from the waitress was, "so you don't want any cake now then?" Our hot drinks came out and even though we had also asked for a jug of tap water, a member of our party had to go in and remind them that we had also asked for water. We were sat outside on the terrace for about 2 hours and at no point did the waitress come back out to us. When it came to paying the bill, the waitress rang up the final amount and we asked if we could all pay separately. We were told that "we don't give change". Two of us had the correct change, my friend had a £10 note and so used the coins we had put on the counter to sort out her own change. At this stage I actually saw the waitress roll her eyes. The last person in our group asked if it was easier if she just paid the whole amount on her card and then take the cash from the counter top. "Not really" was the response. Before we left, my friend kindly asked the waitress if she was feeling ok, as we felt let down by the service we had experienced. We explained that we had felt an inconvenience, that she had not been very friendly and that we had been left very disappointed. Each point we mentioned, she came back with an answer. It was extremely uncomfortable and was witnessed by another member of staff. We remained calm and were merely giving feedback to how our experience had made us feel. What we really needed to hear at that moment, was "I'm sorry if you have been made to feel like that today"

An incredibly beautiful place, a pleasure to stay at and great staff. Very quiet, actually would have preferred it to be busier!

Phil and sare had the most amazing day and evening at stanbrook abbey, greeted by miley at reception and so also dugy ,makes you feel so welcome, also had a chat with lucy the chef who told us what was for Sunday lunch and it wad 1st class,drinks served by kevin ,such a natural to the hospitality team .love this place ,thank you

What a fantastic venue! Had the most perfect wedding day anyone could have wished for!! The staff were amazing, very attentive & patient, nothing was too much trouble?! The food was excellent. Stunning approach to the hotel,a friendly greeting at reception and from the staff.The suite that we stayed in was amazing....very spacious with loads of character. We were hoping for a quiet relaxing weekend from our busy working life and that's exactly what we got.You could here a pin drop at t night.....great for a get away from it all chill weekend.
