The hotel supposed to send us an Email for the lock code. They didn’t. The place is located behind a restaurant, there was no concierge to answer your questions, we tried to call them, but it was in Icelandic, we didn’t understand a word at all. We ended up walked to another hotel, and asked the concierge to help us call them! When we booked this room, it described the room would have 2 queens size beds and a sofa bed, which was perfect for us 4 people. But when got in, it only had one king size bed and a sofa bed! We called them again, they said that was what they have. The bathroom only had 4 towels without any shampoo and soaps, we had to call them again, but nothing had happened for the time we were staying. The only good thing was the price per night for 4 people to stay.

Ok Studios has a great location very easy walking to restaurants, shopping and parking hints to see! The room was clean and welcoming with a sunroof and a cover so we could sleep! Very comfortable with excellent communication prior to our arrival in Reykjavik!

A great, clean, classy studio room for a great price.

It was absolutely fantastic. Everything was there for perfect stay in Reykjavik. It was right in the centre of the town with all amenities nearby. Comfortable bed, clean utensils, modern kitchen and lot more… Definitely worth it.

The price is very good. Less than $60/night. The bathroom needs to be refreshed or deeper cleaned. Flies inside the room when we arrived. Could use better pillows.

I received an email which was supposed to include the entrance key code but that part of the message was blank. I was on the late side arriving and have so far not been able to contact the hotel staff.

This was the first accommodation stay I had in Iceland. It is basically in the street where all the stores, bars, cafes are at so location was perfect and walkable to almost anywhere in downtown Reykjavik. Pros: - Location - Price - close to parking garage - Utilities are working properly Cons: - There is no luggage storage - Not properly cleaned up. There was still water in the electric kettle. - Hard to find street parking. - There was construction while I was there so you may smell construction materials or it might be loud.

The communication from the property was spot on regarding directions and expectations. Unfortunately, I had a small incident with the door to the room and had to call the main office. The problem was resolved within the hour! The balcony was gorgeous to sit out at in the evening!

Great location, exactly how we expected it. Comfortable accommodation. Easy checkin. Original apartment. We followed the instruction to checkin in and it was easy. The only problem is we received 3 missed called from Ok studios when we arrived at the airport and 1 email with a link to follow in order to pay 860 euros (!!!) to save our booking for our stay (2nights). I called ok studios to express my worries and they asked me to prove we already paid via Expedia, which I did (1 night is around £50). It really looked like a way to trick tourists as booking was paid and confirmed more than 4 weeks ago. I still do not understand this value and did not appreciate to receive this request when we arrive.

I never received a confirmation email telling me how to get into the property because there is no front desk. I spent over an hour and a half trying to figure all this out and had to call multiple times internationally to reach someone. So that was expensive. When I did get my room number I was never told I had to go through a restaurant and then a back door to get to my room. That was super awkward bringing my luggage through a restaurant. The room had only a skylight with a broken window shade on it. The room had a very funky odor. The bathroom was disgusting. It smelled like a dive bar bathroom. It looked like there was a year's worth of soap scum buildup on the glass of the shower. There was a makeshift toilet paper holder out of a coat hanger. Nowhere to hang towels. I was able to relocate to a second room after complaining about how dirty the first room was, yet another international phone call I had to make.... Second room was a bit cleaner. This one had no toilet paper holder, toilet paper was sitting on top of the radiator. There was nowhere to hang towels, the glass of the shower was soap scummy. The mini fridge was not clean. The hallway reeked of heavy cigarette smoke. The stairwell light was out. There was garbage in the hall and food spilled on the floor outside someone's room. We were given the wrong code for our second room and that required another international phone call. Google maps takes you to the wrong location. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME & $$
