You almost get what you pay for here. It is cheap for downtown Reykjavik but they should warn you when major renovations are being done. Stayed week of 12 Oct 19. Room was fine. Efficiency with mini kitchen. To access you have to call and get buzzed through a resturant undergoing major work. Then elevator up to room. Both days fire alarm sounded during the day. Once elevator broke. No stairs access except through basement of the resturant. Once renovation work is complete it will rise up to OK status, but still it’s cheap for very downtown. Good area, can be noisy Fri/Sat nights.

Location of this property was excellent for walking around Reykjavik. Right in the heart of shopping, eating and social. The room itself was quirky and had a great atmosphere. It was very warm and comfortable. The only issue was the directions for arrival. There was good communication via expedia but confusing information. On arrival, we were not the only people checking-in who were confused. Which is a little off putting. But that aside, the staff and hosts were excellent and we had a great stay. We would stay here again. The only reason we didn't on our return to Reykjavik was there was no parking.

Very nice studio and location , the only thing was I had to wait a lit to check in the 1st day cause the room wasn’t ready at 3p , but overall it was very good and convenient

I did not like self checking, too cumbersome and unfriendly. Kept bumping into other guests who also had a lot of issues with the concept.

Great location right downtown. Not a hotel so don't expect a normal check-in process.

Property is located in the city center. Apartment provides utensils and pots to cook. Convenient location.

Great room design, roomy for Icelandic standards, and light blocking shades! But the checkin process is like a scavenger hunt when you're least in the mood for this!

The location is a real winner: I was able to walk everywhere. The hotel is on a busy shopping street but I wasn’t particularly bothered by traffic noise although I was at the back of the property. There was however really irritating noise that occurred around midnight, scraping & thumping from the adjoining properties I think. Ear plugs were a must. Overall, the room was decent. There was shampoo, conditioner & shower gel in the shower and it was really warm (and all heaters were adjustable). The kitchen area was sufficient, and a few bits and bibs like sugar and tea which was nice. There were a few things that could be better: there was no wardrobe in my room, just a coat rack with hangers which was a bit strange. They could definitely fit one in. And they could also do with having a few more plugs by the bed as I had to plug my phone in in the opposite corner. The check in process is also a bit strange as the hotel is located above a restaurant that is not attached to the hotel at all. You have to phone a number and access a safe to get your key. On one occasion lift to the hotel was not working and the restaurant staff were not particularly happy to help out! But overall, good price and fantastic location.
