Great location, close to shore, outside of the towns to avoid traffic. Close to tons of things to do in Maine. 15 min from Rockland for Lobster Fest, and only an hour or so to Bar Harbor and Acadia. Great deal for the price. Friendly, clean, and comfortable.
I could not believe they could rent a room like that and charge for it......note we found all these issues after it was too late to get fixed...... 1) no hot water (only luke warm-shave only showers were cold..... 2) there was an active water leak in the room above us...... 3) the room was not cleaned ,beds were not made, and no fresh towels after the first day !!
This cabin was clean but tiny and no bathroom door. There was only a shower curtain across bathroom. The window a/c did not cool the cabin at all. Very warm couple of nights.
Property managers pay attention to detail which always impresses me--things like using names, remembering names, appropriate suggestions for things to do, rooms fixed up cute, property well-cared for, well-prepared check-in! Wifi was a problem--didn't pick up at all in the room; worked great at the office. Really? Wifi router installed at the office is expected to serve the motel rooms across the yard? Install routers in the motel block! Really!
Hotel located close to road. Bathrooms are very small. Not all rooms have air condition units.
The innkeepers are amazing people. The breakfast is adequate with a good selection of continental breakfast fare. The room is comfortable with a couch for visiting and watching tv. The bathroom is very small. You can't beat the location - walk to Lincolnville Beach and the Isleboro ferry, a short drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia. The grounds are painfully cute and well maintained.
The lady that checked us in was rude. Not friendly at all. There was no a/c and the room was exteremly hot. The breakfast was good and the cleanliness as well. If the staff was more freneldy, it would have made it a better stay.
It was small and no smoking not only in the room but also on the premises, which they make sign for.. It was noisy being so close to the road.
