Oasis at Palm Cove

Large appartments, close to town. Large beautiful pool

Didn’t see any staff at all. Check in a key was left out out, but didn’t appear to see anyone in the office while we stayed.

Was close to the beach.

The ceiling fan in the bedroom was loud, and no charging point for phone etc.

Superbly Well Equipped.Very Clean.Great Staff.

3 Flights of Stairs to our unit. No Lift.

Dass wenn man nur als 2 Personen bucht, mehr als die Hälfte vom Apt abgeschlossen wird, ist nicht korrekt. Das Apt wird mit 140 Quadratmeter verkauft, nutzen kann man nicht mal die Hälfte

Excellent outdoor kitchen facilities around the pool area. We ate outside a number of times. Situated amongst beautiful gardens.

Not an issue for us but stairs are required to access most apartments.

Key issues from new keys

Our first 3/4 years in our travels to the far north were to Port Douglas. However for the past 15 years or so we have chosen to stay in Palm Cove and at Oasis apartments. From our initial stay around 2009 we were struck by the magnificent tropical garden surroundings, something quite unique. The 36 apartments , across 3 levels, are clustered in 3 blocks surrounding a central roundabout and an adjoining tennis court. There is a very large swimming pool, a sizeable toddlers pool and an elevated spa. Pool and spa are regularly serviced and very clean. The pool area has two BBQs, numerous dining tables with the pool surrounds offering new relaxing lounge furniture including umbrellas. The apartments are very large with a like floor plan but individually furnished and and presented by their respective owners reflecting either 4 or 5 star appeal. Servicing (sheets, towels etc) is generally sound and access to and responsiveness from the Managers in relation to presenting problems is excellent. Since their commencement 7/8 years ago as the new Managers, Adrian and Elmira have overseen the resort being elevated to a new level in respect to its initial overall presentation, cleanliness, service and their general willingness to address holidayers’ needs to a very high level is witnessed daily. Property is close to most of the cafes and restaurants in Palm Cove, 4 minute walk down a small hill to the beach. Apartment we had was 3 bedroom, pretty spacious, decent sized balconies and had most things you could have needed in the kitchen.

There was a few issues during our stay, first issue was when my partner arrived, the reception had closed up, this was 18:10pm, key was left with a note which wasn’t the end of the world. However when we checked in, the baby cot we had ordered was fit for the scrap heap. It had no mattress and the sides didn’t lock so it was unsafe to use. We called the out of office number and sent messages via Booking.com which were ignored until the following day. We had no option but to allow our 10 week old sleep in the bed on the first night which meant parents didn’t sleep. Not ideal and pretty atrocious situation to be put in. The next day they did arrange a cot from a 3rd party company which was fine but my feedback would be if you offer an infant cot, make sure it’s safe and works.
