Canh Dieu Hotel

The hotel is family run but all staff is very friendly and professional. They speak good English and have good advice on local sights and tours. They also offer cooking classes in the breakfast area for $5. The free breakfast is very yummy, make sure you try one of their noodle soups for breakfast. You can rent motorbikes for $6 a day, which is the best way to see all sights Ninh Binh has to offer. Our room was spacious and as shown on the picture. Unfortunetely it smelled a bit humid, but there was a big window. The room was towards the railway station and there is quite a few trains comming through and they always sound their horn twice when they leave which is quite loud and can wake you up in the night. Even with closed windows. We enjoyed our stay in the Canh Dieu Hotel and recommend it.

Family owned hotel, the son and the daughter were very helpful, they provided us with all the info we needed and helped us book what ever we needed. Breakfest was good you could order what ever you wanted from the menu.They let us keep our room and didn't charge us since we were taking a late bus, that was very nice. Over all we had a good stay. Only negative thing was that the beds were a bit hard but after 2 weeks of travaling in Vietnam most beds are very hard.

We spent two great nights there, its close to the city centre without being too busy. On a calm street, we barely heard the train. The rented us bikes and when we were gonna leave they gave us a ride to the train station free of charge. Breakfast was good as well. I would stay there again.

Service was awesome. Guaranteed no hassle if you are an inexperienced traveller. Hung at reception will take care of everything.

The staff are very helpful and attentive. A late room was provided free of charge when we had a late bus pick up. Scooters for hire at $6 a day were great. The hotel is in need of modernisation and refurbishment. Wet room for shower is common in Vietnam but not convenient. Breakfasts were adequate at best.

The whole place is very smart but it is next to the railway

This Hotel could be rated at 4star and only paid $10 for a big room. I even got a little breakfast included! The back rooms overlook the railway which can be noisy. The Manager was exceptionally helpful driving me to bus station and mediating about an outside restaurant bill

This hotel has a great staff who will help you out with anything. The rooms are a little dated and the beds will feel uncomfortable if you are used to more Western sleeping arrangements, but it's no bit deal if you're only staying for a few nights.

Located right across the tracks from the railway station. We stayed for one night - the room was clean, the water was hot(!!!), and the staff spoke amazing English. The food was a little more pricey than you might expect to pay elsewhere, but it was delicious - there's even bacon on the breakfast menu. Canh Dieu is very popular with tourists - there were many staying here. I'd happily stay again!

Great option for the price. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Booked a tour through the hotel of local sites which was also well run. Great place, highly reccomend.
