Hotel Gaja

I was thoroughly happy with my stay at the Hotel Gaja. It is a great place to stay right near the main train station, but for a fraction of the cost of the nearby Sheraton. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I had no problem with the internet while I was there. It worked perfectly. My only quibble is that when i checked into my room, there was an empty wine bottle and two used glasses when I got there. But otherwise the room was very clean. Whoever was staying in the room before me probably drank the wine after the room had been cleaned. This has happened to me at even five-star hotels before, so I don't blame the Hotel Gaja for it at all. The receptionist apologized for the inconvenience when I brought it to his attention, but it was really no big deal.

For double occupancy we have been given very small double room with one large towel, single duvet with someone elses' suit in the wardrobe and sandwich in a wrapper under the bed. How can this satisfy??? With better (trained) staff with attention to detail this hotel could be really great!

Very nice hotel good location nice service

Decent hotel, but poor facilities for kids. Young kids are expected to share the bed with their parents. THIS IS NOT MADE CLEAR WHEN BOOKING! Apart from this have no complaints, clean, comfortable and quiet, next to a very nice park (the old zoo) and only 15 mins walk from the very nice stary rynek town square.

Very small rooms and showers. But I suppose you get what you pay for. Generally very happy with whatever they offered for the price.

Nice cosy hotel in good location, close to train stations. Rooms are not too spacious but have decent bathrooms. WiFi works very well. Recommended.

Only stayed one night.Near to end of bus route.Clean,with friendly staff.Nice breakfast,payable locally.

The receptionist couldn't find our room in the system so we were given keys to a random room with two single beds although we booked a double bedroom. The room was small and very hot even though the window was open. There were no towels in the bathroom. My partner found a chewing gum stain on the sheets right next to his pillow. The WiFi wasn't working. We might have been extremely unlucky but I wouldn't stay there again or recommend it to anyone.

We had booked this hotel for three nights. The first day we cancelled the remaining two nights The hotel was just ok. The location was terrible for us, nothing close by in walking distance such as cafés restaurants etc. I had read online it was on the edge of The Old Square,it is about 2.5 km. distance. The television had no signal and there was no Wi fi working in our room or lobby. I therefore could not reach Expedia that we had cancelled until the next day. We also had to ask for towels none in the room. The room and bathroom were fine and the staff friendly .

We have arrived to the hotel early but they let us leave our stuff at the managers office. This was a pleasant start to what has been a series of weirdly disappointing little faults. The internet speed was great when ethernet used(The ethernet needed to be collected from the office rather than obtained from a drawer). There was no facilities to boil water which resulted in having to pay 10zl(Equivalent of a good lunch in Poland) for two tea bags with boiled water which made me hugely turned off by the kitchen and swayed towards not using the restaurant facilities which had an open kitchen so you could smell the food being prepared. This can be disappointing when smelling pork being prepared(which smells horribly). We booked a double or twin room however we didn't get an option to have a double bed so we had to put them together to somehow compromise for this lack of service. The place is a new starting hotel so you can feel the quietness and the calmness of it all. This was a very good positive. It is a 20 minute walk from the city centre and you can truly appreciate such luxury when the taxis take longer routes to make their living. The hotel itself is beautiful. I can't guarantee it enough because the prices are very low for the rooms themselves.
