Sepilok Jungle Resort

We stayed 1 night here to see the orangutan and sun bear sanctuaries, for which is is a great location. The resort was great and the swimming pool was a lifesaver in the heat.

We regretted not booking a more expensive room with air conditioning and a private bathroom as the dorm room wasn’t the cleanest.

Location is perfect, room was clean, bathroom was clean but old , tap not fixed properly. However is good value for money.

Ho soggiornato al Sepilok Jungle Resort per 3 notti. La posizione è fantastica: immerso nella giungla e a due passi dalla riserva degli oranghi. Le camere e i servizi avrebbero bisogno di diversi miglioramenti e il comfort è piuttosto essenziale. Pranzo e cena sono discreti, mentre la colazione è poco varia. Se cercate una struttura comoda forse non fa per voi, ma se l’obiettivo è vivere la natura e godersi l’esperienza della giungla, vale sicuramente la pena.

Location was amazing. Pool was lovely. The canopy walkway was great. Had a lovely foot massage. Lady at reception was really friendly. It’s basic but that is fine as you don’t spend much time in the room.

It wasn’t the cleanest. Toilet area around pool was filthy. The staff in the restaurant were very unfriendly and rude. We ate at the Sepilok Nature Reserve one night and staff couldn’t have been nicer and food amazing. Everything shut at 9.00pm, we were playing cards in the restaurant part and everything was switched off including the lights, so we felt so uncomfortable staying there, we went to bed, this was around 9.30pm!

Relativement cher pour ce qui est proposé pour deux lits dans un dortoir mixte sans climatisation. La chaleur était vraiment insoutenable et ils n’ont pas d’autres ventilateurs d’à point si vous les demandé. Le restaurant n’est pas très bon et cher. L’offre est limitée et vous êtes donc « contraints » de manger là bas. Par ailleurs, toute nourriture extérieure ou boissons extérieurs est interdite, donc pas simple si vous voulez faire vous même ou commander.
