Sepilok Jungle Resort

Resort molto grande con piscina. La camera era pulita e con condizionatore ma comunque modesta, niente di eccezionale. Tutto il resort si affaccia su jungla e un laghetto. Quest'ultimo si deve attraversare per raggiungere le camere attraversando dei ponti molto suggestivi. La posizione è più che ottima per i centri di riabilitazione degli oranghi e degli orsi, a 10 minuti a piedi.

Il cibo del ristorante era sempre dolce e poco vario. La camminata notturna non la consiglierei se avete già fatto qualche altro trekking sul kinabatangan.

Great location just few minutes walk to the orangutan and sunbear rehabilitation centres. Good breakfast was included plus big range of options for lunch/dinner in the Banana Cafe where you can just sit & see many birds including hornbill.

Many bad reviews but honestly I think you get what you pay for and don’t really need much else when staying in Sepilok to explore the area! The rooms were comfy and did the job. Staff put 3 bottles of water in the room every day but you can buy cold bottles of water from the fridge in the restaurant and ice creams which were definitely needed to cool down. The food at the restaurant was fine quality and liked the atmosphere. So close to the sun bears and orangutans. There’s a souvenir shop thing with a desk where we booked a Kinabangtan river cruise with a staff member and it was a really good experience.

The decor and furniture were outdated and the resort as a whole could do with a refurb/ revamp. The pool area could also do with a renovation- not many loungers and they were wooden so not the most comfy but we only spent a couple hours during our 3 night stay as were out exploring.

Great location, one of few stops in town. Very convienient. Could walk to Orangutan and SunBear reserves, longer walk to RDC but we walked both ways with others as could not find taxis and it was fine, even at night. Orangutans seen in trees by hotel - just amazing! Restaurant (Banana Cafe) good value simple fare. We walked to a few nearby more expensive hotels for nice drinks or meal (Forest Edge Resort / Nest Restaurant and Sepilok Nature Resort)

Walk to rooms from check in area very far across bridge, but we didn't mind as was well lit and wildlife on route. Hotel quite dated, pool area, rooms etc tired.

It was great to go in the pool after long hot days. Food was great which is good as there aren’t many other options in the area.

Colazione e Mangiare scadente , struttura da riprendere, location molto bella ma lo staff, forse per una non buona organizzazione interna da parte dei titolari è molto scorbutico, solo la ragazza del negozietto dei souvenir ci ha dato informazioni con gentilezza e le ragazze dei massaggi molto carine e sorridenti, la piscina potrebbe essere pulita ogni tanto , poca manutenzione . Credo che il personale e il tutto sia organizzato male dai titolari. Potrebbero migliorare in tante cose e sarebbe una perla questo posto.

Rooms are clean, nice pool, nice massage and close to the conservation center.

Banana Cafe is the most expensive restaurant on the whole island so far
