Hotel Elisa

I stayed at Hotel Elisa, my review of this hotel is not great. Distance to town is good. Other than everything else was below average.. The day I checked in to my room - the fridge was leaking, although staff were quick to clean up the mess, the smell still stayed about. They also declined me having a third person in the room even though their police stated "3 per room max." The toilet seat was brown & needed replacing. I would not sleep there again. Not worth the dollar I paid.

i just stayed one night after arriving late at the airport and heading to savai'i the next morning. location is superb and i felt perfectly safe walking around late at night. bus terminal is maybe three minutes walk away and the city center is not much further. cleanliness was good, price is reasonable, comfort of the room was ok. i had the cheapest room with no aircon and no breakfast but as i said earlier, it was totally allright. shared bathroom facilities were also ok. staff was friendly. bottled water is sold at reception but is cheaper elsewehere. there is a wifi network that can be paid for online by using credit card.

Only two beds when booked for 4 people. Only 2 towels cups glasses. Staff weren't expecting us demanded our paperwork.

great for what it was - upgraded to room with aircon (a must, too humid otherwise). one bathroom/toilet for 7 rooms, was ok as it was off-peak (not many guests), but you'd want to think otherwise during peak, particularly for families & children (which i wouldn't recommend). otherwise was perfect, clean & ideal for what i needed it for & highly recommend esp for the budget traveller. i'm samoan too & opted to not stay with family & was a great option.

I spent five days in Samoa last February. The hotel was just perfect for what me and my family, the staff were so friendly, helpful. just lovely. the room was very clean every time we were back at the hotel, food was nice too and the best for me was to be close to the town...

Problems started immediately when the receptionist wouldn't check us in without a printout of the Expedia booking. The 'hotel room' we had booked was actually part of the associated backpackers behind the hotel. Our room did have a/c as advertised, but it barely worked and our room had no external windows, no curtains, and was sandwiched in between two corridors with our beds clearly visible through the lavalava hanging in the window. Service got worse on the second day when we were asked to check out two days before we were due to leave. Again I had to prove the dates of my stay by dragging out the booking confirmation email. Location is great, very close to the centre of town and the waterfront across the road, but definitely would NOT stay here again.

Firstly when we arrived there, the room we had booked on line was not available...so they gave me and my sister two separate rooms. Next day they transfer us to another room. My sister and I were in the room taking a nap around 2:30pm going on to 3pm in the afternoon, the room was closed but not locked thinking that we are in the room and no one would come in. My wallet was left on the bed because i remember using it to take my credit card out to top up my phone. When i woke up i was looking for my wallet to put my card back in but realised it's gone missing. Told reception and the supervisor but they said that they can't do anything about it. They definately should buy some new towels, luckly we brought our own because the ones they provide was like for little kids, so we used it as hand towels because they didnt have one in the bathrooms.

Horrible hotel. Were lead through main hotel to the budget section out the back - the linoleum floors were peeling, there was glass on the floor as well (one of us stood on it and had it embedded in the sole of his foot). The neighbours were noisy the entire night and when we left they made us pay for an extra night because we checked in early that morning (no one told us that this was policy the entire day, no one came and found us which is normally the policy off the reception staff). never again.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. My partner and our friends all felt the same about this hotel. We were placed in the 'backpackers' part of the hotel and nowhere did it state on our booking reference that we would be in the backpackers part. The room was vile and there were bloodstains on our bed sheets. When we went to explain this to the night porters they did not seem to care, or even consider this to be an issue! Instead, they acted as if it was an inconvenience to get new sheets for the bed. In the end, however, we just had to change rooms. There was a shared bathroom and the only good thing about this was the hot shower. There was also a sign at the front desk which stated that all rooms received a complimentary tropical breakfast, although this was not the case for the 'backpackers part' , which we were not aware of. This is literally the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, much worse than any backpackers I have stayed in and the staff are horrendous. Do not stay in this hotel, it was the dirtiest place I have ever stayed with the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
