Very large room, clean and good location to some very interesting spots in the area. The power sadly went out one night at 1 am and back on at 10 am

sorry I did not have a stay at the SOGO because after paying online and arriving to Manila,, I was told they did not have a record of my reservation. I paid for 2 nights and the hotel called around to see if the other 2 hotels had any information. Nothing was found and the money is gone. The hotel asked if I had a voucher to show my reservation,, that was never mentioned or sent to me. basically,, the hotel is a rip off don't use them.

This place is okay, if you are just staying for a short while. We stayed here because of a bike race event in roxas blvd. You can opt for a 12 hour stay. Aircon takes long to cool the room. For the over all facilities, i still find the price way to high.

Had to stop off for one night in Malate - arriving late - very friendly reception staff. The room was spacious and clean - and for the price is great value. Breakfast was a small buffet on the groundfloor which was quite sufficient

Dont forget to book this hotel online otherwise you will pay nearly the double price! I had problems with my booking confirmation when I booked on sunday and wanted to check in on monday noon. They did not get the booking confirmation and made some trouble so better book at least 2 days before you arrive. The rooms are large and pretty good but a fridge is missing (standard room). The bathroom and shower are very old. Air conditioning and TV were working, bed is large and comfortable. About cleanliness: After 3 days I had to ask them to clean my room otherwise they did not make it on their own. The best thing is the good location near to the center including 7-Eleven in front of the hotel and Robinsons Mall at the end of the street.

My wife and I had a wonderful and fun stay at SOGO Hotel. Though it was undergoing renovations, it does live up to its slogan, "So clean....so good" theme. Free wifi is offered in every room and have more then one connection point so that you can adjust at anytime. Amenities are offered there in packets in case you may have left something at home. Slippers are also available for the shower room or while in the hotel. Keep in mind, while in Malate, there are many things to do and see in that part of town. SOGO is next door to a bank with a ATM (Bank of Philippines Islands / BPI) and located to the right when walking out or to the left when going in. The room we got on the 5th floor is very nice and they do have an elevator as well. The staff is very nice but please be sure you know some of the local language since not all speak English or Japanese. They do offer free breakfast depending on what deal you may get with the room. Breakfast is a buffet style so eat as much as you like. During my stay, I had six different choices on what to eat, with toast along with coffee, fruits, water, and juices. Room service food is mainly Japanese style (of course) and priced reasonably compared to most. There is also a 7-Eleven across the street and is open 24/7 if you want something else.
