Javier is the real deal, folks! Perfect host, very interesting guy and runs a wonderful establishment.

Perfect setting, our room looked out to the Rioja vines & mountains. Quirky & interesting decor throughout. Climb up to the tower well worth the effort. Javier looked after us so wonderfully we’ll …… brought a taster of wine to our room on arrival & a bottle of iced water. Went the extra mile to get my husband a doctor’s appointment, advised on vineyard visits, very kind & thoughtful. Breakfasts abundant & plenty fruit & choice. No complaints at all

The room was very large with a balcony from which we had great views. The location within Laguardia was excellent for exploring the town and you could walk to several of the local Bodegas (Winery ) for wine tours . The breakfast was an excellent spread of fruit, meats , cheeses, juice, pastries, etc . Parking was close by and free - but may be difficult in peak season.

We really enjoyed our one night stay at this castle like hotel. The hotel owner was wonderful. After checkin he directed us to climb the hotel tour. It was a sunny clear day and he didn't want us to miss the impeccable view of the town and mountains. Don't skip the breakfast, and have an empty belly. It was incredible an I'm glad there was lots of fruit choices. The hotel location is perfect for visiting the town and local vineyards. Parking can be a bit tricky, so plan ahead. We packed a day pack rather than dragging our entire suitcases through the town. Staying at this old hotel was definitely a highlight of our trip.

Absolutely beautiful castle, very unique and special experience. Food very good and wonderful hospitality. Would highly recommend. Will definitely be returning.

Every part of our short stay, from start to finish, was delightful. Javier’s welcome and incredible personal touches throughout made this our most memorable and wonderful hotel stay ever. So many reasons why this place is special, but the incredible views from the tower, delicious breakfast spread, amazing decor and warm reception were some of the highlights. The restaurant dinner was some of the best food we enjoyed during our whole 10-day trip through Catalan and Basque areas. The family room was perfect for us with our two young ones as well. We are recommending this gem of a place to friends and family and would really love to return again one day.
