Hotel Castillo El Collado

We have visited the property around 10 years ago, when you were allowed to park you car a little nearer to the hotel to empty your luggage. Now that can’t be done. If you arrive during the early afternoon parking is a challenge, you will have to carry it a fair distance either way. Once you do arrive, the welcome from who we believe is the owner, is second to none, glass of wine, water and biscuits were offered, and he even moved us to the tower room on the second night. The rooms are as far away from corporate jelly moulds as you can get, enjoy the experience, and if he offers you breakfast take the offer up.

Beds are a little too soft, and no mattress protector

The room was very spacious and comfortable. Blue tile floors and two double beds. Great breakfast. And ask to be let up to the tower! Wonderful view of the whole region.

While it was quaint that that beds were on an elevated platform, I was afraid I might trip at night.

We stayed in September and instantly fell in love with the village, the hotel, and the host. Javier made us feel like royalty throughout our entire stay. The castle is absolutely stunning, and the rooms are tasteful and beautiful. The bar and terrace are a delightful bonus, and we simply didn't want to leave! I am looking forward to returning to this hotel. It's a gem.

We hit a home run with this property! First and foremost, we have to acknowledge Javier who worked tirelessly to assist us during our stay. Honestly one of the nicest individuals we met during our two weeks travelling in Spain. Add in the accommodations are really unique and add to the ambiance of Laguardia.

The warm welcome and hospitality of the owner, beautiful, historic house with stunning views, delicious breakfast… everything was wonderful.

This hotel is literally a small castle with gorgeous decor throughout and beautiful large guest rooms. You can walk up the turret and see amazing views. The super attentive owner, Javier welcomed us with local wine and served up an outstanding breakfast. He helped us with every need and suggested places to visit and arranged a private wine tour in town. It was the best way to be emerged in a small, beautiful medieval town.
