Hotel Castillo El Collado

Charming property, comfortable large room, sort of shabby chic, acceptable bike storage.

Meager breakfast, bed sagged a bit (Room 7) tons of steps all over and it would not be good for those with mobility issues, some staff were very nice, some not so much. Restaurant not particularly recommended. We ate dinner there and staff was nice and food acceptable but not great, and we were the only diners and there are more interesting places in the old town.

This hotel is under new management and the pictures are not representative of the current situation. There is no restaurant or wine bar yet. The terrace has plastic tables and chairs and not the lovely patio furniture depicted in the photos on their website and on Expedia. Those pics are from the past. It’s not as elegant as the pictures make it appear. Be aware that parking is off site, down some stairs and across a street. If you have mobility challenges, do not stay here.

Traditional and charming

Lots of steps. Dogs confined to room and nowhere to let them off lead.

Lovely old castle, cosy room, nice views and walks around the area!

Need to use the public car park below but there are usually spaces !

Nice clean rooms. Friendly staff. Make sure to go up the tower for a good view of the surrounding area.

Parking is on the street or in local parking lots. You will have to drag your bags uphill.

The room, the hotel and all the furnishings were great. We had excellent personal service from the staff, and a good breakfast The location was great

Hotel Castillo El Collado was a great place to stay while visiting Laguardia. The room was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful.

More bed pillows would have been nice.
