Lovely location/building. Nice staff though very few of them. Disappointed that since arivall of new manager dogs are no longer allowed to eat in the restuarant. This comes close to discouraging dogs at all as many would be reluctant to leavetheir dogs in an expensive htel room for the duration of a meal time
A quiet location off a busy main road.Generally , well run with a nice pool area. Disapointing residents bar and somewhat restrictive hours. The swift check- out procedure in place promised an invoice would be e- mailed so outstanding charges incurred ( drinks and dinner) could be reconciled.Over £150 has been charged to my card in this respect but no corresponding itemised invoice was ever received
Beyond charming house and grounds. Wished we had more time to stay there.
The hotel is beautiful and I cannot fault the room. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room was huge with great facilities. Unfortunately there was some confusion over breakfast
Gorgeous grounds and hotel. So lovely to be able to swim outside in October! Had a cosy room in the Coach House with a lovely big bath and plenty of hot water to enjoy it. Nice to have the option of plenty of board games in the orangery, which we played whilst enjoying some of the bar’s lovely cocktails.
Spacious and clean room. Quality bedding with extra large bed. Quality from start to Finnish. Exceptional food.
No room service No proper arrangements for dinner No fridge in room, no slippers in room, no airconditioning. Poor quality toiletries. Very average breakfast, (no fruots or cheeses) Just.because it has a swimming pool? It does not qualify for a 4 star!
Stayed 1 night. Great outside pool and food in restaurant. Could be more attentive in serving drinks in courtyard. Rooms comfortable.
No Staff, no service. As an essential worker, I've stayed in a different hotel every week since covid. They've all had to implement changes due to this, but none have been as bad as this. Blocked sink in room, no one to report it to. Room hadn't been cleaned properly. I would usually resolve all issues by speaking to hotel staff, but there was no one ever on duty. I spent 15 minutes wondering about looking for someone before just giving up. The milk I was given in my room was almost 2 months or of date. I ended up checking out early just to get the heck out of there. The grounds are nice though.
