excellent location, original swiss chalet atmosphere, out standing inhouse facilities (large swimming pool, squash, covered, full size tennis court, wet&dry sauna, large relaxation area, a wonderful spa) Comfortable rooms with Nespresso machine and a choice of teas. We have recently stayed at The Hotel Alex with our family booking a single room, double room and junior suite. All of the rooms were excellent, very clean and well appointed. The breakfast was exceptional and the best we have had whilst skiing, it was buffet style but with made to order cooked options as well, all of which were superb. The crepes were particularly good and there are plenty of other locally sourced options. The evening meals could not be faulted, all of the food is delicious and beautifully served with a good range of wines to go with it. The spa and pool are a great asset and enjoyed by the whole group after a days skiing. All of the staff at the hotel were very friendly and professional with nothing being too much trouble. Hotel Alex is a traditional family run hotel with attention to detail everywhere you look, it has a fantastic bar area equally suitable for couples or large groups with a quiet luxury feel but also a relaxed atmosphere , where again nothing is too much trouble. We very much hope to return soon !

What a sweet place to spend our 50th wedding anniversary. We had a suite and a view of Zermatt which was stunning. The hotel is quirky and so interesting, with a cozy lounge, breakfast room and restaurant. But the sleeping rooms and baths were upgraded and modern--a perfect atmospheric experience with all the comforts you'd expect from a top tier hotel. The location can't be beat either.

I loved how Resort Hotel Alex felt like a warm Swiss chalet—full of character and heartfelt hospitality. The location is unbeatable, breakfast and dinner at the Alex Grill were delicious. Location Excellent—just off the main street and right by the train station Easy access to skiing, restaurants, and shopping. Character & Design Traditional Swiss chalet vibes—lots of woodwork, brocade, carvings, and authentic alpine charm. The bar/lounge is a standout with its quirky, warm Dining Chef Frédéric Fischer crafts regional-inspired dishes with seasonal ingredients—elegant and refined. A large selection of dishes in breakfast options.

Very very nice hotel. A bit quirky but charming. Great location near railway station and Main Street . Large room with a very nice sitting room. It is an older hotel but very nice. Food very good . Fabulous pool.
