Great and very helpful staff. great Spa. Excellent bar and nice restaurant.

Room was small/ no balcony.

Besonders das grosse Hallenbad und das geräumige und gut ausgestattete Fittnesstudio waren sehr schön.

Das Hotel ist in einem wunderschönen alpinen Stil eingerichtet. Die Zimmer sind sauber und die Betten sehr bequem. Der Spa-Bereich ist modern gestaltet und perfekt, um nach einem Skitag zu entspannen. Am Abend kann man im hoteleigenen Restaurant essen gehen - wir sind sehr froh, dass wir uns dafür entschieden haben, denn das Essen war ausgezeichnet. Zu all diesen Punkten kommt das äusserst aufmerksame und freundliche Personal hinzu. Es hat wirklich alles gepasst! Alles in allem ein sehr schönes Hotel, das ich nur weiterempfehlen kann.

Excellent hotel, wonderful staff very helpful and courteous. Best breakfast around and dinners are 5 course gourmet meals. Rooms are unique with views of the Matterhorn with balconies. Very good location short walk to gornergrot bahn and lifts, one street off of the main avenue and shopping. Would not stay anywhere else in Zermatt.

The Hotel Alex is one of Zermatt's hidden gems. The owners, the staff bar and restaurant are beyond comparison. A luxury hotel and facility so close to the train station with all the amenities you would expect.

Anyone heading to Zermatt must include a stay at Hotel Alex, A fairytale like hotel nestled above Zermatt village and within walking distance to every amenity one could desire, including access to major transportation that whisks you to some of the finest skiing in the world. The hotel has that lovely feel of a romantic alpine lodge. Dining is a delightful experience rich with gourmet faire and a warm and welcoming ambience. For both the novice and diehard skiers you'll find a world class storage room for for all your equipment, including dryers in each storage locker. Comfortable seating and convenience to the outdoors making preparation for that day's ski adventure a simple and stress free exercise. Don't forget to avail yourself of a massage or swim after taming the mountain. One of the best parts of your visit is the warmth of "The Alex" service team and the high level of execution performed on each and every request. The hotel's proprietor and his family attend to guests each and every day, and by the end of your stay you'll have a strong sense of being part of a wonderful and caring family. Perfection and attention to all details is what has brought us back time and again to the Resort Hotel Alex. From quiet comfortable rooms, excellent dining, fabulous bar and spa facilities, the Alex has all you want and more at a very fair price. I’ve reviewed the Alex before and this place remains my address whenever we are in Zermatt in every season!

The staff are very helpful and friendly. The food for breakfast and dinner is outstanding. The rooms are terrific and have plenty of storage for ski clothes along with your other clothing. The pool and spa facilities are very nice to recover with after skiing. The hotel has a great location near the train station and gornergrat to make getting here and skiing much easier.
