Chateau de Chissay

We loved everything about this quirky chateau stay!

It’s really unique real chato of 16th century. It has the atmosphere and beauty of the epoch. The only thing I gave the rate less than perfect is misleading list of amenities. They don’t have bike rental on place and car is needed to rent bikes.

Charming property and grounds. Lots of character and uniqueness with the location and property itself. Dinner was pretty disappointing, not a lot of food options and kind of bland. Also if a guest just got engaged and is there to celebrate their engagement, you should offer them a glass of champagne. it’s kind of the bare minimum for a hotel to do that. Also the wifi router needs to be updated; pretty patchy. Overall charming location but there is room for improvements in the hospitality department.

Beautiful castle. Picturesque pool and grounds. During a heat wave, the pool was too cold for me and my kids to swim, which was a huge disappointment for them.

Magnificent castle - stunning setting. The pool was also lovely. As expected, things a little bit dated but adds to the quaintness of the castle.

A wonderful Chateau in the Loire Valley. Kids really enjoyed it as well

Beautiful chateau, with lovely pool and courtyard. breakfast was wonderful, set in the dining hall. staff was very friendly and spoke better English than i speoke French :) easy drive to other chateaus in the area for exploring.

If you or your children have dreamt of staying in a Disney-like castle (with a pool), this is the ticket!

Beautiful

A lovely setting, friendly and helpful staff. Good location to visit the many Chateaux in the region. Nice pool, seemed to have the place almost to ourselves. Stables rooms near pool are spacious and comfortable although there is a bit of a damp smell, no proper shower and some fittings (bath taps, curtains, cupboards) looked worn and ill-fitting and with some stains.
