Friendly staff, booked us a taxi each evening, top quality breakfast experience and amazing sized rooms

An extremely interesting historical building and grounds and lovely views. Extremely quiet, dark and peaceful. A comfy bed. A good breakfast. Friendly, efficient staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Lovely and warm.

We didn’t have a wardrobe or anywhere to hang coats in our room. We stayed on a Tuesday when the restaurant is closed but being able to have an evening meal on the premises rather than having to leave to find food would have made our stay perfect

The staff were very professional and very welcoming. Comfortable bed and spacious room. Interesting house with lots of original features. The kitchen was a great venue for breakfast loved the original fittings here.

The room and place was a brilliant suprise for my partner. Even though the weather wasn't on our side the scenery still looked beautiful. The staff were brilliant. Will definitely stay again !!

The hotel itself was absolutely beautiful, in a stunning setting. It was quiet, and we felt that we had two days of being absolutely spoiled. The staff were amazing very knowledgeable about the history of the building and very friendly and amenable. The facilities were exceptional. The room was comfortable, with lots of period features, warm and so cozy and quiet. The food was lovely, super tasty and reasonably priced. We enjoyed a bottle of prosecco on the first evening for our 14 year anniversary of being together. The bar was comfortable and the choice of drinks was great. The mansion itself is absolutely stunning you must visit the music room. The grounds are beautiful as well. We can't wait to go back.
