Premier Hotel

Hotel rooms are reasonably clean and conveniently located. I asked to add bed to my room, but when I asked for an extra bottle of water, I was told it's an extra RM5.00. Though I booked bed with breakfast, adding an extra bed does not entitle you to breakfast for third person. Housekeeper dropped by my room to give me special instructions using the door latch to leave the door open, reminding me that if I damage the door, I am liable for the door damages.

It's definitely not a luxury hotel but with less than RM200 per night, there's nothing to complain about. We booked 2 deluxe rooms for 2 adults and 2 children (8 & 5), which is sufficient for us to stay comfortably. Car park is on level 3 in the adjacent mall which is a bit inconvenient. You need to drag your luggage down 2 flights of stairs, go into the cineplex in the mall, go across another car park before you reach the hotel lifts. Check-in is a breeze. Receptionist is very friendly. We ordered some food from the menu provided. Food delivery is fast (about 15mins; which is faster than some 5 star hotels) and the price is very reasonable and of good taste (with home cook feel to it). Room is clean. Nothing to complain about except the car park.

I wasn't expecting much from this old hotel but I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of sleep I got from my hotel bed! Gave me the rest I needed before a full day's work the next day. The hotel is clean, well-maintained and has no funny smells. My room on the 12th floor had a great panorama of the Rejang River and Sibu town. There is a small shopping centre downstairs with a Watson's and a 7E, convenient if you forgot to bring your essentials or just want to grab a drink or snack.

It looks rundown from the exterior part. Our room is an old-looking room too, and the aircond wasn't really doing its job. The hotel is not quite an affordable option out of the hotel choices in Sibu, but it is one of those located within the city centre, so it is quite accessible to a number of shops & markets. Breakfast buffet was not bad too; some choices of meals & drinks. In a nutshell, you can probably get a better hotel around town with the rate offered in this hotel. But be ahead with booking of hotel room (and parking space) at Sibu especially during festive/peak seasons.

Shd take initiative checking room b4 guest chk out, instead of calling guest 2 days after on broken cup and lost towel.

My first time staying at this hotel and I thought it should not be too bad. I was absolutely wrong. The location of the hotel was strategic to move about but the parking system is strange. The parking for hotel guest is located on the third floor of the building (the top floor), hence there is no roofing. After parking, I was told by the guard that I have to submit a parking coupon which the front counter will issue upon checking in. Meaning I have to run back to the third floor of the parking area to hand over the parking coupon. The furnitures in the room predates the 80s. The tiny fridge gave out a strong odour. Selection for the breakfast buffet was utterly limited. Another hotel right opposite charges the same price but the room was whole lot better, the breakfast was good. The only good thing was the housekeeping was very polite. They greeted with smile and were efficient. This is really not a place to consider, sincerely.

What I do know is that this great old dame had been around for about 30 plus years. It is really interesting that she is still staying strong and majectic. I only went to the coffee house, by the name of Bamboo house for lunch. The food there is not too bad, the portion is huge and the staffs there are nice.

Overall good. Friendly & helpful staff. Food have many choice. Clean room. In the middle of town.

It may be an old hotel but I thought it was nicely refurbished and pretty well maintained. Love the room and the bed is comfy enough to get a really good night sleep. Toilet however looks a bit worn out and a bit gloomy. But either than that, this hotel is strategically located in the heart of Sibu. You are well surrounded with food. Singapore Chicken rice is just upfront and that helps when you are in need of a quick bite. Mall is attached and that helps too. Overall, good hotel and most importantly it was CLEAN! Thanks for the lovely stay!

A night stay at top floor with good view of Sibu town and river. Suite type but average I said and worth for the money. Hopefully if I come back and stay in suite there will some changing in this type of room. Anyway, I enjoyed my one night stay with good hospitality from the staff. Thank to Premier.
