"A very pleasant place to stay to visit historic Richmond."

Friendly, helpful staff. Good range of bar food available in the evening. Great breakfast menu with hot food cooked to order. Lovely clean bathroom with walk-in shower. The building had lots of old world features - steep stairs, creaking uneven floorboards and this added to the experience!

Lots of steps to the upper floor - not good for the less-mobile. The car park at the rear of the premises was difficult to find and not room for many cars

"Great location, super food, helpful staff."

Very helpful staff. Bedroom over the function room and overlooking street was noisy but very comfortable so not complaining! Dinner was the best we had during our nine day holiday in different locations.

Breakfast is served quite late but they were great about offering a cold takeaway the night before instead.
