Hilltop Cabins and Motel

Stayed two nights. Clean and everyone was super helpful!!

Enjoyed our 3-night stay at the Hilltop cabins. Would definitely stay there again. The room was very clean and comfortable - overall a very good value. The location is also good with a very nice view of the water. The property is well maintained and nicely decorated.

This cabin had everything we needed. It was a great layout that gave plenty of space, but still a little privacy. The location is beautiful! And the owners were incredibly friendly and accommodating. I will definitely stay here again!

The cabins at Hillside are adorable. Everything inside is new, clean and neat. The bed was extremely comfortable. There was a very nice continental breakfast in the morning. The staff was very friendly. It felt safe, tucked away from town by a mile or so. The grounds were neat and welcoming and there is a view of the lake. Parking is free, right in front of your room.

Room was clean and close to town and beach. Not a lot to do in town but the cabins were nice and comfortable. Would stay here again if in the area.

WE had a great time there, we only stayed a night but we had a drink sitting on their little patio looking at the beautiful view and checking out chipmonks running around.The room was very comfortable,no noise at nightand the managment was very helpful.

Staff was very friendly and eager to please. It was a somewhat warm day and I was surprised to find the cabin was not air conditioned. I looked for a fan and there was not one provided. That would have been OK if I would have known in advance as I would have provided my own. Also, the cabin was clean except the floor seemed a bit dirty. Another problem was that the continental breakfast was scheduled not to begin until 7:30 AM and there was no coffee provided in the rooms. Again, if I had been informed I would have brought my own. I am an early riser and there was nowhere in town to get coffee early so I was a bit chagrined about that.

Cozy, clean, comfortable accommodations with welcoming zones on the spacious property, i.e., picnic tables, basketball, game room, convenient parking, quaint and well-equipped breakfast room with homemade baked goods. There is a patio like scenic overlook with a most memorable and picturesque view of Grand Marais harbor. Very quiet and peaceful and removed from the many tourist attractions nearby: hiking, boating, swimming, fishing, dining, music festival, Sable Falls, and the dunes along Lake Superior. Year-round population very friendly, respectful, and helpful.
