Hilltop Cabins and Motel

A wonderful place to stay-- we'll be back! Appreciate a lot of "special touches" including homemade coffee cake for breakfast!

WENT UP FOR COLORS AND STAYED IN MOTEL WHICH WAS VERY NICE.PRICE WAS GREAT,HAD PLATES SILVERWARE,EVERYTHING FOR COOKING INCLUDING MICROWAVE.TV WAS WAY TO SMALL.

So happy I chose Hilltop Cabins. Was worried I would not be satisfied, but it surpassed my hopes. Would recommend it to all in a heartbeat.

Be drawn by the city of quaint, quiet, clean, coziness of Grand Marais and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and stay at Hilltop Cabins for the harbor views and spacious cabins for families of up to six. The rates are reasonable for the size of the space, cleanness, and kitchen amenities. This was an unforgettable family vacation for us. Hilltop cabins were where we spent our last days in the Upper Peninsula. It was truly a treat. We ended up booking a fourth night, we were enjoying ourselves so much in the city of Grand Marais. We found out there was free guest laundry as well, which was a plus. Also the interaction over breakfast with other guests made our stay that much more special. Janette, the proprietor, mentioned that many of her guests are regulars. One of the guests we talked to said he comes back for the views of the harbor. Its a perfecting home base for canoeing, cycling, and just plain relaxing.

We arrived late and all the information we needed was laid out and easily understood. The next morning the people that worked there were outstanding. If we could have we would have extended our stay to weeks. The view from this motel is stunning.
