Shangri-La Toronto

Hotel is physically amazing and beautiful. Rooms are seemingly sound proof, no sounds of elevators, or hallway noise. All hotels should be built this way. Service level is high with personal touches by the staff to alway be friendly and incredibly attentive. Gym and pool are excellent and the lobby bar wonderful.

Great location, very spacious room, everything works (not a given in many 5 star hotels), great staff. Stromng recommendation!

On first impressions looked a little on the posh side for us. First hotel I’ve been too when you sit down to check in. Had a room on the 17th floor for the 4 of us. Lovely bathroom with jacuzzi bath overlooking the city. Remote control blinds. Double sink. Complimentary toothbrush, Comb etc. small box of chocolates and macaroons. Beds lovely and comfortable. Plenty of wardrobe space. Cleaners paid attention to detail here! We spent a few hours in the hot tub, pool complex. Lady was so helpful and took us through the back way as maintenance were carrying out some repairs. Pool is an amazing size, but on the cooler side though. Nice sauna and steam room which we had pretty much to ourselves. All staff very helpful. Had an amazing stay thank you.

I had an amazing stay at the Shangri-La Toronto. Unfortunately our full stay could not be accommodated due to the World Series taking place but the remainder of our stay were superb. The hotel lobby is a standout feature, with live music and entertainment throughout the day and evening that creates a warm welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast choice was excellent, with a wide variety of options, and the lobby menu offered great choices for light bites and drinks. The vibe throughout the hotel is stylish and calm. Unfortunately I never got to use the pool area but from a brief tour it looked a fabulous spot to unwind especially after a day of sightseeing. The gym is surprisingly spacious and well equipped. Location of the hotel was super convenient, it was just a short walk from both St. Andrew and Osgoode subway stations, making it easy to explore Toronto or get around. There are also numerous eating places only a few minutes walk from the hotel. Really enjoyed the hotel close location to the Eaton Centre and all the stores they had to offer. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a luxurious laidback stay in the heart of the city. All hotel staff who we met during our stay were all so polite and friendly and really added our stay. They really do go above and beyond and looking forward to a return visit to the Shangri-La Toronto.

Lovely atmosphere, staff excellent except for one lady serving afternoon tea who was very slack, so busy chatting while our tea was getting cold while we waited for her to bring milk which we requested twice.

Fantastic experience. My second time visiting Toronto but first staying at the Shangri la. I will definitely choose Shangri la next time. Their hospitality is unmatched, room was fantastic and I have nothing but good things to say. I convinced my colleagues to stay here too and they were from the US (no Shangri la hotels there) and they were very impressed with the brand.

Great hotel in Toronto! We had a great weekend at the Shangri-La Toronto. The suites and the hotel are exceptional. The spa, gym, pool, sauna and steam room are very high end. Thank you for all the team at the hotel and for Adam El Alfy (director of rooms) for assuring that our stay went well. Hope to come back soon.

Robert at check in was terrific despite room not being ready he went above and beyond - storing bags getting me a table in bar giving me a property tour - great service. Andy the front desk a manager was also great on check out confirming that everything was good arranging car helping w bags - don't expect this from manager. Overall the property is great and the room are well equipped and larger than most. Spa is excellent.

I had always wanted to try the Shangri-La brand, but my stay at the Toronto location was unfortunately a disappointment. Pros: • The pool was relaxing and well-maintained, one of the few highlights. • The location is convenient, within walking distance of key downtown attractions and restaurants. Cons: • The food was mediocre, and the dish I ordered was missing a main ingredient clearly listed on the menu. • The room had zero personality — clean, but bland and forgettable. • Room service was fine, but nothing memorable or worth repeating. • The lobby was constantly busy and noisy, which made it hard to enjoy the atmosphere. • Prices were high for what was delivered — not aligned with true luxury standards. • It also seemed that turn-down service entered the room even with the privacy light on, which was unsettling. Overall: For a brand known for elegance and service, Shangri-La Toronto felt underwhelming. While the pool and location were positives, the uninspired room design, average food, and lapses in guest privacy left me disappointed. It’s a property that needs to match its premium pricing with better consistency and attention to detail.

OMG from the time we parked our car til we left we were treated like royalty. From the water, kind smiles, friendly staff and super clean spacious rooms our Blue Jays game 6 ALCS game was a success!
