Hotel was hard to find, it's signage calls it "gvadalpin" and the front desk on the ground floor is not the hotel. Upstairs there is a room where two clerks sit to check in, they were the ruddest people I've ever encountered. No hello how are you, or enjoy your stay sort of language. When our key didn't work and we came back in they grabbed it re set it and shoved it back at us without a "sorry about that". The hotel also has paper signs everywhere about what not to do ie "being drunk", or wearing a bathing suit in the elevators (it's a beach hotel with a large pool downstairs via the elevator). The beds are rock hard, the pillows paper thin and the decor hasn't been updated since the 1980s.
Stayed at the Guadalpin last week for 4 nights with friends. The apartment was excellent and very clean. It was serviced every day. The complex itself was quiet but I could not fault anything about the suite. We loved the hot tub on the terrace I would recommend this hotel. Great location I between old town Marbella and port Banus .
Can tell it has been a gorgeous hotel but it was like party central for the young ones , the rooms are so called sound proof but it sounded like next door was coming through the walls , they seem to let it out to hen party's and stag dos shame because the hotel was very nice.
We know the area well so knew it was close to the beach and a nice walk. Reception was brusk and the long corridors make the place look clinical. The apartment was very large and well equipped and clean, but a bit dated. The sofa had marks on it and the hot tub didn't fully work. Overall it was quiet and relaxing.

When I saw how bad this hotel was I did not even stay a night. I would rather lose the Euro 1000 (one thousand) I paid in advance than risk bedbugs and getting sick. In future I will only ever book 1 or 2 nights in advance, then if hotel is OK I will extend. But booking and paying for full stay in advance is simply stupid - I have learnt my lesson.
I had a great time and will be back.
Excellent access to main routes to visit Ronda and other places. Easy beach access but about 30 minutes sea front walk to Marbella centre. Would certainly stay here again.
It was smooth sailing from check in to check out. No concerns or issues while there, two supermarket's five minutes away lidl and supersol. This was great because my wife is celiac so this was very convenient being right on our doorstep. We also made good use of the local bus service, you can get the L1 bus near the Supersol supermarket. This bus takes you right into the heart of Puerto Banus, the fare for me and my wife was €2:36 to go and the same to come back to the hotel (Bargain). The local taxis will cost you about €10:00 during daytime to go to Puerto Banus, during the night it can cost more. Overall we had a great 4 night break, we had two days of great weather, and two days of not so great weather (November showers). Despite the showers it was not cold, warm enough to not need to wear a coat. We will definitely be coming back next year, we hope to stay at the same hotel. But we will come in October, to try and avoid the showers in November.
