3HB Golden Beach

Would not stay anywhere else in Albufeira. Got home today after a variety of emotions during the holiday - none of the negative feelings due to the hotel (we arrived to Faro without a suitcase with all of our clothes so ruined the first 3 days - the hotel were fantastic throughout this trying to help as much as poss). The hotel were aware I was planning on proposing to my then girlfriend pre-stay. We were welcomed with a room upgrade, a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine and a beautifully decorated room with the towels looking like swans ft rose petals. The view was fantastic anytime of day, beautiful sea view (room 31). The staff were fantastic, could not do anymore for you. Cleaners in the room every day who did a fantastic job, always polite too. Hotel decorated with beautiful real flowers too added to the feel. Atmosphere around the pool always great. We went out for breakfast every day, returning about 10am and all the sunbeds were gone at this point every time (did notice people out around 7am lying in the beds too, commitment that is!!). We always found a chair/table we could spend time on too so wasn't an issue. Our balcony was huge too and a suntrap so could have spent the day there had we felt like it! Location was grest, had breakfast at BJs cafe most days, would recommend. Only found the supermarket (right next to BJs) on day 4 which was annoying as would have saved a lot of money/time attending this instead of the one at the top of the hill. We travelled with my mum who struggles with walking so would not make it up the hill, had to order a taxi for her wherever we were going but uber was cheap enough so was not an issue. Did notice a fair amount of ants numerous times in the rooms. The welcome pack was great, an added bonus as to what we expected including refillable water bottles. Shower gels, shampoos, soaps in the bathroom also. Lovely extra touches I'd not experienced staying elsewhere. Fresh beach towels available daily which saved taking them with us. Poolside bar great at reasonable prices. The staff in general at this hotel could not do anymore to help you, could not praise them enough. Location great, the fact its a 4 min walk from the strip did not affect us at all noise-wise, yet great location for lovely sea view food places along the front. All in all the pros massively outweigh the cons, would definitely return to this hotel.

Location is great! Very close to the beach and has a nice swimming pool. Loved the BAR by the pool! There is also a nice Portuguese bakery next door which is ideal for breakfast or just a snack. The view from the apartments is stunning.

Visited this accommodation through Jet 2 July into August . Pros . Accommodation is spacious. Maids are in every day and work hard to keep it clean however , you can’t leave food about even in cupboards due to ant infestations . If you have small children be warned . Gym is excellent . Good location for the beach Cons . The sea view is actually a partial sea view and you are quite far back to appreciate it . The pool is very small . We couldn’t get a sunbed at 9:30 in the morning. We counted around 40 beds and they are jammed so close together , if you like your personal space this is not for you . We noticed towels every morning on the beds from before 8am and people didn’t appear until lunchtime or in some cases 3pm onwards . No idea why the life guard can’t police this as he’s there all day . We had to ask reception how we get a bed on day one , they removed personal towels from the beds with us present in front of other guests , not their own hotel towels which we found strange but I guess this would have meant more laundry for them as they would need to class them as used ( you are provided with hotel towels ) was an embarrassing situation when the people came to claim their beds and we were on them . We couldn’t use the pool the remaining holiday as we followed the disclaimer rules you sign - not reserving beds so there were none available ( it’s pointless , the hotel don’t enforce it ) it did ruin the holiday . If you provide a pool facility , the least you expect is to be able to use it ! Anyone who has written a review and said there are plenty of beds has either went when the apartments are empty or they have reserved beds at stupid o’clock . The balconies are large , no idea why they don’t provide sunbeds on the balconies for all the apartments. I’m surprised at jet2 for endorsing this hotel as it’s not cheap to stay here through this company and there is no physical possibility that they can accommodate all the guests poolside when this hotel is over half full . The area itself is party central , full of teenagers and large groups of 20somethings and the party hotels are on the doorstep of this one so it can be noisy . Sadly , my family and I would not return to these apartments .

Nice hotel. Noticed a lot of reviews mention being able to get a sun bed. Not the case in peak season. Not enough facilities unfortunately. People reserve the beds and I refuse to be up at 6am to do the same. The photos show a serene little populated pool. Not the reality unfortunately. It's a lovely hotel if you're coming outside of school holidays. Staff are lovely. Apartment is nice. Ours was right at the back. Not much veiw but peaceful which I preferred.

Clean, close to the beach. Air conditioning very good. Good WiFi.

Close to the strip. Noisy at night, but not hotels fault.

Stayed here for a week with family, the hotel is in a perfect location with a 30 second walk to the beach, we got a sea view room which was very clean and modern. The staff was lovely and welcoming, however there was a major issue that everyone was complaining about and the hotel was not doing anything about it. There's a maximum of 25 sunbeds around the pool which the hotel holds at least 100/150 people. They had a rule to not reserve sunbeds and people were waking up as early as 5:30 in the morning to reserve them, when we went down to the pool at 7:30 most mornings, there was not a single sunbed empty. So we had no choice but not to use the pool as we had nowhere to sit down. We heard so many people complain about this issue and the staff did not seem to care in the slightest. As i said the hotel itself was very nice, however if you want to enjoy the pool i recommend not booking here unless you want to take up very early to have to reserve one. We were a family of 5 and there were other family's that were much bigger and had no space whatsoever.

We are currently staying at this hotel and we are having a wonderful time. We were upgraded in check in from a one bedroom sea view, to a three bedroom se view. The rooms are absolutely spotlessly clean! There is plenty of wardrobe space and the kitchen is very modern with every appliance you could ask for. On arrival you are given a bag, which contained milk, biscuits, crackers and also a reusable water bottle for each guest. This can be filled up at the water station in reception. There was air conditioning in every room too, along with a tv. The staff were all very friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. The pool area is on the small side, but very well maintained. There is a small pool bar that has great food, drinks and a happy hour every day. There is even live music. There is a beautiful beach right next to the hotel with some lovely bars and restaurants. If you walk to the left of the beach, there are loads of little secluded spots, but they do suck me to the tide by the afternoon. There are plenty of supermarkets within walking distance and the. The famous new town strip is at the top of the hill a few minutes walk away. Albufeira old town is just over a mile away and costs around €5 in a taxi or €10-15 in a tuk tuk, which we have done once as a treat for our boys. Old town is much bigger with lots going on and plenty of choices to eat. My only slight grumble would be the noise from the street with the young party goers. The hotel is located far enough from the strip to not be impacted by noise from the bars, but when the revellers return to their hotels between 4am and 6am it can be very loud and we have been woken up each morning by this so far. This is something that can’t be helped though, and part and parcel of staying in the busier area. Overall it is a fantastic hotel and we all agreed as a family that we would return.

This place was perfect. Sooo close to the beach, the apartment itself was beautiful, clean, super spacious. Staff was kind and helpful and they do their best to make everything easy!

This resort is a family resort and they do a great job of ensuring it’s quiet and there is no partying. Nearby though, there are other hotels that had many partying people and the noise carries. But seriously, don’t let this dissuade you unless you are a super fussy sleeper. A little white noise fixed it right up!!!
