3HB Golden Beach

Eine wunderbare Anlage, liebevoll gestaltet, sehr große Terrasse mit Meerblick, ab und zu etwas Live Musik am Pool - aber nicht bis spät in die Nacht, herzlicher Empfang mit einer kleinen gefüllten Willkommenstasche, aber das Beste ist die ausgesprochen schöne geräumige Wohnung, die sehr sauber gehalten wird und der Strand mit etwas belebteren Buchten, aber hinter dem nächsten Felsvorsprung auch ruhigeren kleinen Buchten.

Die Betten waren für unseren Geschmack etwas zu hart, aber das ist letztlich Geschmackssache

These are lovely apartments, we were in 22 a deluxe one bed with a sea view. On arrival we were given reusable water bottles each and biscuits. A lovely touch and environmentally friendly approach as it could be refilled every day instead of buying lots of plastic single use. The rooms and pool areas were kept extremely clean and well tended to by staff. Some other guests encountered ants but we did not. The overly complex was lovely. Pool area & toilets were very clean. There is a very friendly staffed pool bar on site open until 7pm that was very reasonable with nice food and drinks. Kids loved the milk shakes & slushi’s. There are some good amenities near by as you walk towards the beach, a supermarket in the little precinct and a lovely little bakery for bread and cakes. ‘The strip’ is close by however the noise did not bother as we did not hear any party goers from the complex. For dinner we preferred to seek out the street of family friendly restaurants, or to head towards the beach or catch a taxi to the old town. We didn’t have an issue with sun beds, or people reserving. There were prob some days when availability was limited around the pool but it didn't bother us. A nice touch to also be given washing up liquid, soaps, shower gels. I used used the little gym on site and this was well air conditioned and did the job! All in all a lovely little complex with great customer service and cleanliness.

Stayed here for a week with my husband and 2 teenagers (14 & 15) . We had a wonderful week. Location brilliant for beach, the strip and the town. The waves were fantastic, beach lovely. Hotel itself is brilliant, rooms cleaned everyday, towels provided daily. We were in room 35 which was fantastic, huge balcony and nice and out the way! Pool area clean and had a great vibe and always managed to get a sun-bed. Lifeguard too which I always think is a bonus! Alex the jet 2 rep was fantastic! So knowledgable and helpful and sat with us and gave us a lot of time and great places to go to (we hired a car for a few days and he marked off some great places on the map for us. He was very helpful and a lovely guy. Pool bar food is lovely and the 2 people running it are also very friendly. Overall a great place we really enjoyed our week there, and would definitely go back and will be recommending to friends and family. Thank you to all the staff as they was all very helpful and friendly.

This review based on family of 4 - 1 week 12-19 August 2025. A lovely relaxing holiday at the 3HB Golden beach hotel. Fair to say the location is 10/10 , literally 1-2 minute walk from a stunning beach and 5 minutes from the famous strip and 10 minutes from the family strip ( various restaurants/ family friendly bars) . Importantly the location was also 2 minutes from a small well stocked supermarket and a bakery and cafe , a must for self catering! The reception ( and all staff) were excellent, we arrived 11.30am and weren’t expecting our room to be ready ( check in 4pm) but after a brief wait ( 20 minutes) we were given keys , safe keys ( free) to our apartment. A lovely welcome bag with water bottles was a nice touch , cold filtered water available from reception 24hrs. Our apartment was exactly as advertised when booking. Spacious , clean and had a kitchenette. The air con was amazing! Cleaned daily and bathroom had toiletries provided. Lovely balcony with clothes dryer for swimming stuff ! Kids sofa bed was great and very comfy , bedroom was good size , beds slightly hard and lacked some storage. Overall very happy though . Swimming pool, it’s on the small side but this we were well aware of when we booked. Kids still enjoyed it and it was busy all day ! Lifeguard 9-7 …. He’s very strict. Sun beds , max 35 sun beds and by 11am normally all taken . Fine for us as we wanted shade ! Was very hot ! Pool bar - lovely and reasonably priced . Great staff , food 11:30-3pm . Quite a limited food selection but understandable as limited space behind bar . Two nights during the week live music (4-7pm) were provided by bar which was lovely . Day trips - Slide and splash , great day out for family ! Arrive early (9:30am) opens for 10 and you get to do all the main slides multiple times with no or little cues. £118 euro for family of 4 . Tip take your own lunch and bottles of water and a parasol! Boat trip from marina to see dolphins and Bengali caves . Really good , 2.5 hrs saw dolphins and caves and also offers a brief stop for swim in sea. Expensive but a holiday treat . ( £140 euros). Hotel is 3.7 miles from the old town , walkable if needed , however in the heat we decided to get taxis ! Use uber over local taxis … much cheaper! Overall this hotel gave everything we expected and wanted when we booked , the negative reviews IMO centre around the size of the pool etc …. Do your research before you book ! My big worries shen we booked were how close we were to the strip …. No issues or noise at all . We felt this was value for money and it was one of the cheapest options in the Algarve ( self catering in August) . Overall happy kids = happy parents and that’s exactly what we had . This holiday offered something for all of us and that’s not easy with a parents both 41 and kids 14+12 . Would recommend to anyone with family’s or couples . Lovely holiday

To be honest I don't think this was worth the money. The rooms are a bit on the small side and so is the balcony, for what you pay, our room was a sea view room but the view was not as good as i would have liked because our room was too low down. We had ants a few times, but this was delt with quickly. The pool area is too small and it suffers from the usual sunbed issues. An oven in the kitchen area would have been nice. On the plus side, the location is good, the place and rooms are clean, the atmosphere was good and the poolside bar was great and staff were polite and helpful. Overall the place was good but just not good enough for what we paid.

Zeer schone en ruime kamers. Sfeer is heel goed. Personeel is heel erg vriendelijk. Locatie was ook top. Op het complex zijn er maar een paar parkeerplekken aanwezig, maar omdat wij met een gezin van 3 kinderen kwamen was er voor ons een plek gereserveerd (€15,- per dag).
