3HB Golden Beach

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 3HB Golden Beach. We were in Apartment 27 which was the highest building in the complex, two sets of stairs to get to it but it was well worth it for the stunning sea view from our balcony. Amazing sun rise and sun set each day. Apartment was spacious and clean with everything you need. A warm welcome when we arrived from the staff at reception together with safe lock (free), welcome bag with milk, biscuits etc..., towel cards (free) and two refillable water bottles to keep (a lovely touch). More than enough sun loungers around the pool although you do get the towel leavers. The beach is very close at hand as an alternative option (€19 for two sun beds and a parasol). Nice and friendly pool bar with snacks and drinks available (happy hour 4-6). Plenty of restaurants and shops in the area. Tuk tuk's available just outside complex (€10 euros to go most places) or Ubers are very cheap and easy to book on the app. Reception can call a taxi if necessary. Nice walk into the Old Town (approx 2 miles) with plenty of bars/restaurants on the way.

Stayed at the 3hb on the 13 th sept in room16. Very clean throughout and cleaned everyday. The staff were lovely and very helpful when required. Great pool and bar with nice food and good priced drinks. After check in we were given refillable water bottles and a bag of essentials - milk, biscuits for the room. The view from the room was fantastic, some steps to it, but no problem. Locally there are some great places to eat and drink about 100m down the hill. Walk up and you are in the new town in 10 mins or get a tuk tuk. Overall a fantastic hotel with beautiful surroundings. Would we stay again 100% yes.

Logement propre le personnel au top le bémol le bruit la nuit épouvantable de la rue prévenir les locataires à l arrivée serait quand même du sérieux pour du repos des nuits blanches..

Writing this as we prepare to leave for home after 10 days. This is a gem of a complex. The staff are really helpful. Some of the issues in previous reviews. Ants.. yes there are, but only if there is a food source. Remove the food source, and they will go. I also brought a tin of RAID with me because of the reviews..sprayed round the doors and had no issues Sunbeds.. we are out with school holidays so had no problem with getting a sunbed everyday. I can see how this might be an issue.. selfish people claiming beds with towels and you never see them all day. The pictures of the pool area is exactly what it says on the tin though! I have stayed here twice before this visit. We love the hotel but the strip at the top of the hill is wild and although no noise from the actual strip itself, there can be shouting/noise from people in the early hours out in the street. Albufeira Old Town is €5 in an Uber and we opted for there.. A very special shout out goes to Ella and Miguel who run On The Rocks bar at the hotel.. hard working, brilliant service with a smile everyday!

I stayed here with my partner and two children (12&15) August 30th- September 6th. Firstly we never had any problems with getting a sunbed but I think this was because of the time we went, I can understand why this would be a problem on a more busier week as it’s a smaller area so I’d suggest not going in term time if you plan to spend your time at the hotel. The hotel is great, I emailed before hand asking for a quieter room which they did. We were in room 36 and never heard any noise at all. We arrived at 10:30 and check in isn’t meant to be until 4pm but got in for 11am. The hotel staff are probably the nicest we’ve come across and do try to do everything to make your stay a good experience. On arrival your given water bottles and there is a filter machine in reception that you can use anytime to fill your water bottles. There is a coffee machine in your room and if you want extra pods is 50 cent each. We did have some ants but again you can let reception know and they’re also not like UK ants where you find absolutely loads of them. The pool bar has food and drinks, food is chips, pizza, baguettes, toasties, burgers the price can range from €4-€8. There is also a cafe which is a few mins away with breakfast cobs and a more variety menu. The cafe is located in a complex where there is a coffee shop that serves pastries and a supermarket with a few other shops. The sea/beach is about 5 mins away. We brought a parasols for €35 euro instead of renting sunbeds and then saw you can get these cheaper in different shops a bit further away. We did go into old town twice and a Uber costs between €4-€6 each way. This place can be made cheap if you need it to as there are cooking facilities in the apartment. We did venture out to the strip most nights for food and didn’t find it that crazy. It does get busier as it gets later. We didn’t find any negatives. We really did enjoy our time here.
