Azure Hotel and Art Studio

Love our recent one-week stay at Azure in the Garden suite. It was great to walk just a few steps and be at the beach with chairs and umbrellas! Room had everything we needed and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Greta did a wonderful job cleaning the room each day. Had grocery delivery stock room with water, sodas & rum before our arrival. Michael and family were wonderful hosts - we appreciated having them make several reservations in advance for us. Taxi drivers recommended were prompt and friendly. Easy to walk to restaurants for lunch or dinner. A fantastic stay; we would love to come back for another visit and explore this beautiful island more!

Lovely place, on the beach, with a lot of style and character, an artist’s garden. I loved my room, classic Caribbean sensibility, complete with kitchenette. Excellent peope, too…. Definitely a favorite, would love to stay longer next time.

The location was great. It was close to the airport and located between the two capitals, Marigot and Philipsburg. There were plenty of restaurants in walking distance and the beach was perfect for lounging and walking. The room was very spacious with plenty of amenities.

Beautiful little hotel with incredible view of Simpsons Bay. Easy walk to shops and restaurants. Mike and his wife were amazing hosts. Will definitely come back.

The pictures of this property show a beautiful beach front location. The don’t describe the rooms that haven’t been updated since 1942 with ac and doors that don’t full close or absolutely no view. There is no safe parking. The manager was “off island” and no one could change our room. Expedia should be ashamed charging what they did for this hovel.

This was our first time visiting Sint Maarten and we stayed at the Azure for 4 nights while we were there. Couldn’t have picked a better hotel. Michael greeted us when we arrived and went over everything. He also gave us some tips and recommendations and was a great host. The hotel was perfect for our needs and right on the beach! The air conditioning was great when we needed it, especially for sleeping. The housekeeping was amazing, they cleaned everything perfectly and even did the dishes. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and we both slept well every night. I was initially worried about the airport being so close but it wasn’t an issue as the planes stop in the evening and don’t start up again until about 7am. The Simpson Bay beach is beautiful and the water was great. The hotel was also just a few blocks from many restaurants and shops. We walked around most of our time there and never felt unsafe, even walking back to the hotel in the evening after dinner. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back to explore more of the island.

Best vacation ever! We stayed at AZURE HOTEL Feb. 2025 for 1 week. Michael greeted us at our taxi with a a huge smile, helped with our luggage and showed us to our room. We loved the small boutique hotel feel with only 8 rooms and chairs and umbrellas for everyone. Spectacular beach which was only a few steps from our room. Fresh beach and bath towels were provided everyday and our room organized and swept by sweet Gladys. Just about everyday Michael stopped by the beach area to make sure all was well with our stay. Mary's Boon Beach Bar and Hotel is a short stroll down the beach where we enjoyed many Carib's and great food. Before we departed we secured another week Feb. 2026. Second stay at this hotel and it was even better than the first time! If you don’t like crowds and just want a clean, comfortable place to stay that is right on the beach, this is the place! Owners are the loveliest people, too.
