Il Porticciolo di Amalfi

This place by far was the best choice we made, the views, right, outside our front door, where amazing and being welcomed by Anna our housekeeper/Hostess every morning was delightful! It was such a simple, but delicious breakfast. I especially loved her croissants and the marinated ricotta cheese with tomato. Getting down to the main Square was about 189 steps but after the first couple of times, I think we were used to it and actually good exercise working off all the pasta we ate! The water taxis are located right below our room, which was easy to get to. If ever I visit Amalfi again I would definitely come back to this exact place.

If you're staying in Amalfi, I would say you could do not better that this. Mena was a wonderful host, and the breakfast on the terrace in the morning with that view was a delight. Just note that which ever way you choose to make your way up/down, there's well over a 100 steps, which in the heat does sap your energy.

Probably should get in line 15 min before they open- the food is fabulous, service really great and gelato, the best. We had the fresh fish and veggies w a Margarita Pizza as an appetizer, it was pure Heavenly!

The location is great. The stairs are brutal with a suitcase, but I knew about that going in so I can't knock the place. The views for breakfast were great. Check-in was a mess, the host said someone would meet us at the dock, but no one showed. The host does not belong in customer service. I asked if we could have breakfast at 7 so we could have an early start and she told us we would have to make our own breakfast. She insisted breakfast should be at 8:30. Other hosts on the same trip had no issues with this request. She made us two eggs for a family of four. When we asked for more she said "ok, but this is your last one". She seemed impatient with us, like she had better things to do.

El lugar es una belleza, la vista desde la habitación un verdadero sueño, el desayuno en la terraza mirando el mar es algo que no podés perderte. La atención es muy amable. La dificultad para llegar es la que describen y detallan en la página, los escalones que con valijas y mochilas se hacen largos pero el lugar y la habitación valen la pena.

Lovely setting in Amalfi with great views from breakfast terrace. Great staff and breakfast. Beautiful ceramics decorate the room! We enjoyed our stay!

Location and views fantastic. Breakfast served on terrace which has a stunning view.

small place with 6 or 8 rooms but very modern, renovated old building. With full amenities. We had the room on the ground floor which had the door on the street, but it was a small alley high up which didn't see more than a few people a day. The hotel had however a very nice terrace in common use. Very nice for breakfast but to hot over the day due to direct sunlight. Great view of the sea. Even from the alley very nice view. The ladies that run the place were very polite and prepared a tasty breakfast. The only caveat is the 168 steps you have to walk from the piazza, if you have heavy luggage maybe you should consider paying for a porter. all in all very happy with our stay.
