Amazing breakfast and supper, and very friendly staff. And great car wash at the end of the stay. Nice and comfortable rooms. We enjoyed just doing nothing other than relaxing on the weekend.

Maybe a bit more variation/options in the lunch menu.

Very unusual location in the forest and a very vivid reminder of South Africa.The rooms were spacious and accessible with all the amenities you would expect from a very special hotel.

The poor weather meant that the hotel was not the experience expected.This was not the fault of the hotel per se but it meant there was some disappointment.

"Family-friendly hideout in the forest"

Breakfast was great, well presented & variety. Wonderful views from boma deck. Room was lovely design with African art and textiles. Very family-friendly, they provided cot with teddies and milk and cookies at bedtime for our toddler. It has a bath (as well as shower) which was much appreciated for little ones. Staff were lovely, friendly and accommodating. Fun to have monkeys visiting our balcony. Easy access to Plettenberg Bay if you have a car.

Bathroom was a little tired in places, but still comfortable to use and clean

"Not really worth the amount we paid."

Excellent breakfast

The bathrooms really need a refurbishment. Not 4-star quality at all! We had just arrived at this property from another lodge in Knysna. We payed quite a bit more at this property than the one in Knysna and it was a real disappointment compared to the Knysna property - the rooms are average, the bathrooms need to be refurbished.. in my opinion not worth the amount we paid.

Amazing location

Food was very average. Shower had no pressure. Staff didn’t manage to create this special atmosphere / personal connection that makes a place excellent versus average
