beautiful view, good breakfast

unfortunately we can’t enjoy our stay because of a load shedding . no light in a rooms, only in a restaurant. the rest was ok.

All very nice - just too few people staying. The first night the generator broke down and we had to take a taxi to Enrico for food.

Load shedding - generator did not extend to the bedrooms - only the main building.

The breakfast, the surroundings and accommodation were excellent and the staff polite and helpful.

The only evening meal we had there on our first night was very disapponting and the reason we did not eat there again! It was the only bad meal we had during our 3 week stay in South Africa!

Hog Hollow is located in the most serene setting with the most spectacular views of a forest. Due to this location one can only be totally relaxed. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional and share activity suggestions as well as restaurants to try out. Great facilities that accommodate families with little child as there is a play room which is great for rainy days. Great quality breakfast selection both continental and hot breakfast. Lastly Hog Hollow is a short drive from the main town on Plettenberg.

Due to the electricity crisis in South Africa (LoadShedding), the backup power system is not connected to the rooms and therefore one needs to make use of battery operated mobile light which is provided in the room. However, one is unable to use other electrical appliances and plug points in the rooms during outages.
