More or less ok for budget traveling. The toilet water tank leaked and the staff tried to fix it, but since it leaked because the whole set was loose it was futile.
we had a great stay at Veronica for three nights in early January. the service was great and the rooms were clean and comfortable and only a few hundred feet from the beach. the main drag is only a few hundred feet the other direction with lots of restaurants and shops and a taxi stand. drinking water system is available for use by guests and the owner organized our ride back to the airport in his personal vehicle. overall, a great stay and I would recommend for future travelers.
Owing to the season time and peak rush time in Goa, the hotel staff was complacent. Although very warm in their conduct, the house keeping failed to show up, there were bugs and insects in the room and for toiletries, all that was offered was one 5 rupees bar of soap. One must bear in mind that this was after a tariff of 4000 rupees/ night. Which one can not claim to be cheap.
Stayed during xmas 2013 so was a busy period, which I suppose explains the mediocre service and room. Recently renovated but room didnt have clothe hooks or bathroom have any towel holders or toilet roll holder. Location was a little way off main calangute but not a prob with a scooter, which the hotel helped arrange. Excellent breakfast and service. Wifi extremely weak. As its a family run hotel reception was vacated most the time so alot of waiting around and wondering. Although we requested for a late checkout this was not accommodated and we were asked to checkout by 10am! (Earliest ive ever been asked to checkout!). Also found a lizard in the room a couple of times and dead cockroach on bed. All in all I'd say good for students on a budget but wouldn't recommend for anyone else, as its lacking in basics.
Veronica hotel is too far from main road and no lights on half km. area from the hotel. it is does not look safe for family.
The hotel is excellently located. You are a few minutes walk away from the beach. I would complain about the lacking WiFi reception, but I've subsequently stayed in "3-Star hotels" in New Delhi which have no WiFi in the rooms, so I'm not sure it's as much of a given as I expected. I would ask you to be weary of the restaurant staff as they will try to rip you off. The food is excellent, but the owner tried to feed me too much food in order to charge me more money. Not happy folks! Mind you the restaurant is distinct from the hotel itself. The owners of the hotel are absolutely friendly people! No complaints. I still wouldn't stay there again though.
Its good budget hotel right on Calangute beach.
It was a Good Stay. We had left one of our Mobile Phones when we checked out and they contacted us and returned it back to us. The called us after 6 hours of checkout.Fortunately we were still around the place and we could collect it.
Staff were nice, provided nice accommodations. Charged an arm and a leg for cab rides, but apparently all taxis are overpriced in Goa. Lots of noise at the restraunt outside my hotel room after 10 p.n. one night and no one to talk to about it or stop it. Website claims to offer beach towels, but seemed "put out" when I asked for one....but did give it to me. Although it was very dirty.
IT WAS JUST WHAT I WANTED. VERY CLOSE (5MIN WALK) TO A NICE BEACH. VERY CLEAN ROOM .EXCELENT ELECTRICS , HOT WATER AND A/C. DECENT FRIENDLY HONEST PROPRIETORS WHO ALSO RAN A TAXI SERVICE AT NORMAL RATES
