Gabbiano Azzurro Hotel & Suites

Stayed a week and experienced this beautiful area of the world. Hotel is clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The dining was the best we experienced in town. Although we had a a couple issues with the room the hotel staff was quick to solve them.

Big hotel, close to a public beach, in a very picturesque setting overlooking a bay. Great restaurant (the Catalan lobster was probably the best one I ever had) and a modern reasonably priced bar. Spots of peeling paint on the outside, but very comfortable.

The hotel was lovely, our favourite part was having the private beach. Lovely restaurant in the hotel overlooking the sea and just a short walk to other restaurants. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

One of the coziest hotels I have stayed at (I have visited 118 countries and lived in 14 - I live in hotels). Fantastic views esp from Restaurant Blu. lovely staff, great food - both the breakfast buffet and the a la carte. Nice beach - does not feel "touristy" - or they are Italian tourists - so it is much more "authentic". The hotel beach itself is NOT nice - and they charge (ridiculous after the price one has already paid) just walk a few more meters and the public beach is lovely. Good base to drive around Sardegna. PARKING is a nightmare - be prepared.

Booked a 2 night break - beautiful hotel and grounds! Selling point was the private beach and attentive staff. Would make it a 5* rating but we had issues with AC not working, no tea/coffee making facilities and restaurant overpriced! Waiters did not advise on the appropriate dishes for dinner and was rather disappointing. We had a long wait which made the experience even worse as we were served entree portions of cold meat. They did however cater for our 2 small children and made them a specific meal. Breakfast was more continental (varied and good choice) but hot dishes were limited - do not expect British style breakfast. The prosecco breakfast and Italian coffee were lovely. The hotel is iconic and can really push to a 5* if the added touches are consistent in all Rooms. We did get a room upgrade as the AC didnt work in our room. We were given 2 rooms on the 3rd floor which had a jacuzzi bath/shower, toiletries, tea/coffee making facilities, bathrobe/slippers, pillow selection. This was kind of the hotel. Overall a good-very good experience as the private beach, views, staff, clean rooms led to an enjoyable stay. Would stay here again for some much needed relaxation when visiting Sardinia again.

Although pleasant. Pool area small and breakfast very poor with not much variety. But staff friendly and service good.

Hotel is well located, rooms were dated although comfortable and clean. Breakfast menus was very limited and the hot bar for eggs and bacon was constantly empty.. Friendly and helpful staff. Would 'recommend but not as 4 star hotel.

The hotel was fabulous the staff were excellent nothing was too much trouble. From the bubbly with breakfast to the private beach and glorious views it was a perfect place with lots of excellent local restaurants nearby if you wanted to try different Sardinian delicacies.

Enjoyed a very relaxing week here. Lovely & peaceful (mid September) very pleased with the hotel & staff all of a very high standard including the Michelin restaurant The only moan we would have is the very high cost of a taxi to & from the hotel (50 euros one way) less than 30mins traveling time & the charges for sunbeds & parasols (30 euros per day!!) we were lucky as the charges stop on the 8th September. If you go before then, we'd advise you just walk past the hotels private beach & use the public beach ( rope separating the 2) got to be cheaper to buy your own paracetamol & a couple of cheap chairs ( could even try to sell them on to newly arrived guests? overall a superb hotel & highly recommend it
