The Penthouse Hotel

Room was ok and very big but the lift access was terrible and extremely slow with only 1 lift working. You must also call down to reception to order the lift everytime.

Well I thought this was going to be a great place to stay, how wrong I was. The best part of my stay was checking out after a week there. The noise on the right hand side of the hotel is terrible, we couldn’t sleep at all. The odd numbers will indicate what side of the hotel your on. I moved out of room 301 after one night, then moved to room 601. There was a gap between the frame work and the window, so the noise just poured in, let alone bugs and dust. I then moved to room 702, at an additional 1,100 peso per night, at last a little silence from out side. Tried a bath and the inbuilt plug wouldn’t seal, so that didn’t last long. The staff never replaced the coffee, soap, shampoo, conditioner etc each day. I bought some from other hotels thank god so had to use that. Even though there was no sign of any of the above it was never replaced. The empty containers in the shower were never cleaned up, hair around the floor waste wasn’t cleaned up. The linen was not replaced every day, just remade. Out of the two lifts, only one worked, and as only used manually. Each time you wanted to use it, you have to ring reception and order it to your floor. After the staff using the lift for room service or going to the upper deck, will you get the lift. This usually with 2-3 times after it passes your floor. I’d rated this place a 2. There’s probably more I could write, but couldn’t be bothered. Just use this place as a last resort. Stay away.

The room is nice but they never clean them quite good enough. Bits of stuff still in the carpet. Smeared glass between the bedroom and the shower

On check was assigned a fabulous suite however the air con was not working. Technicians did a temp fix but could not get cool.... had to change room next morning. Considering the price paid there was: No room service menu in room 2 coffee and 2 creamer only in room Internet was very weak and could not stream.

Staff is nice, however something is completely wrong with how this place is being managed. They checked me In a room full of cockroach, and they changed the room as I complained. The rooms are very old and smelly. The elevator did not work and that is why I asked for a room at the second floor. The overall quality is no more than $10/night and they charge over $100/night. I would never ever stay there again

the only downside to this hotel is when you order you meal on the rooftop or room service it takes a while.. other than that location of hotel is amazing. ATM machine across the road and bars and restaurants are about a 2 minute walk away. but definitely would recommend the hotel.. I will definitely come back here again

My first stay at Penthouse. All was OK, but nothing was spectacular. Elevators not working, so it adds time to wait for manual operator.
