Gasthaus-Pension zur Linde

Stayed at this lovely Gasthaus. It is a family run business, clean and comfortable, they make you feel at home. Large rooms that are furnished in a sober, yet comfortable way. It is an ideal location to get to the Black Forest, but also visit some lovely cities around. Parking can be a bit difficult, but not and issue: there is plenty everywhere in the village. we dined there once which was all right: a typical village dinner. I read of the noise of the stream by the house... I had my windows closed and could not hear a thing, but yes, if you are used to sleep with open windows, you will hear it if your window backs to the stream. But it is not city traffic, it a very nice noise! Breakfast was very good, would set you at best for a day out. The internet was sometimes slow, but all in all all was good. Landlady speaks English. They accept Credit Cards. Recommended.

Super clean, very retro, super kind and lovely, quiet area.

We had a very pleasant one night stay in zur Linde. The reception was friendly and you felt immediately at home. The room was pleasant and clean and had a good bathroom with a nice shower. During our visit the restaurant was closed so I cannot say anything about it. The breakfast is also good with fresh bread and all kinds of spreads, cheese and bacon. Surely a place to come back again!

We always stay in the Baden Baden area this hotel was in a nice village. The hotel as good parking lovely large rooms and ours had a balcony over looking the river which with the door closed you could not hear. On the night we stayed the Resturant was closed but we found a nice place a 5 minute drive away. The breakfast was as usual large and of the highest quality.

Finding the hotel was interesting as we passed it twice. Stopped and asked where it was located. Hotel is back in seventies decoration Bavarian style , green bathroom fixtures in our bathroom and orange details, very clean and tidy! There is a restaurant in the hotel with dinner from 6pm til 9 pm ( not included) then a breakfast included. Very few people in this village speak English, but we managed to communicate. Free parking is include, but limited and there is free wifi with coded access. Great one night stop over in Lauf, just outside the busy Baden-Baden. One point about check in, hotel was locked and had to buzz all three places at door to get response.

We were two senior couples traveling together. The location was what we wanted to experience - away from metro area and traffic. We enjoyed the staff and the room was very comfortable. The sound of the creek outside our room was an added bonus!

This hotel is an old-fashioned, authentic German guesthouse. Very welcoming staff, clean, specious, yet simple, rooms. Very well located, especially if you wish to go to Europa Park, Mummelsee in the Black Forest and also, Strasbourg (France). Nice stream running outside the room, double glazed windows filter the "noise". A great place to stay over-night.
