"Small room but excellant views from Terrace"

6.0

The location information provided on the confirmation was not specific enough and it was a bit difficult to find as the hotel is not even listed on the local map that we picked up at the town information office and the signage is inadequate on the building itself. After asking locals where it was and trudging up many steps with our baggage we needed to call the hotel owner to meet us at the unit. The room was so small that luggage did not fit in it but a locked storage space on the terrace was provided. We enjoyed our stay in Cinque Terre and the views from the terrace made the tough climb up to the hotel well worth it.

"above the din"

10.0

This place is a perfect choice in Vernazza and in the Cinque Terre in general. The streets below are quite crowded with tourists, which can diminish the charm of the Cinque Terre experience, but since this place is situated a little higher on the hill, staying there helps to escape the crowds and recover the magic of the little seaside village. in our case, the train between the two southern most Terre was closed because of trail maintenance, so it turned out better to stay in Vernazza and hike to Corniglia and see the other cities by boat. The room itself is as basic as it comes, but fine for recovering after a day of hiking. It had a refrigerator and a fan and a good shower. We could hear the sound of the sea from the room at night, but unfortunately this was punctuated with the frequent trains passing by. This isn't the fault of the hotel, since the town is so small, there is no escaping the noise from the trains. The bar associated with the hotel is also quite beautifully situated and probably one of the best places to sit down for a meal in Vernazza. They don't open very early for breakfast (10:00, or else not at all if it is raining). But the markets and bakeries in the town open early (7 or 8 am), so it was nice to just get some breakfast items and enjoy them on our personal terrace in the morning.

"Hotel needs more staff, and better processes."

4.0

The hotel lacks processes to operate well. They do not make beds, have extra towels while current ones are being cleaned, and have limited staff for questions/check out. I paid cash to ensure I could retain my passports. I could not find anyone for checkout, and got no receipt for my stay. The room was spacious, but kitchen light did not work. These things should be checked out prior to giving a room to someone. We would not stay there again.

"Room with a view"

6.0

The information about this hotel did not explain it's true location on the highest point in Vernazza. The view is spectacular, the location beautiful and private. The room was small but included a private courtyard. The climb to the location was a mission and this room only suits fit, healthy occupants.

"Very cramped and noisy with room over the street."

4.0

The room was adequate but nothing more. The third bed in the triple room as a cot with a terrible mattress. The number of towels supplied was inadequte. The location of the hotel was perfect but I would recommmend not taking a street view room as the town is very noisy late into the night. Not recommened for anyone with mobility issues as there are lots of stairs and uneven surfaces to negotiate.

"Beware of Owner"

6.0

We had a private terrace, however the owner and neighbor were constantly on it. The owner lied to Hotels.com and said we rebooked with her to avoid giving the rewards. Not the best experience, not the worst either.

"Rustic & relaxing"

10.0

Andrea and his family were excellent from the very start and this service did not stop our entire stay. Our room was very spacious with excellent views over the Main Street of Vernazza and rolling winery hills of the cinque terre. Our room was fantastic, very large with a brand new bathroom. We found this to be a very relaxing space following hikes through the various towns.

"The view says it all!!"

8.0

The climb was long with luggage but the view was amazing! We had a large private patio to enjoy bottles of wine with friends staying elsewhere. The room was small but cutely decorated and had all we needed. This was fun with friends but would also be perfect for a romantic getaway. I will definitely try to stay here again.

"fantastic views"

8.0

The gorgeous roof-top views from the huge terrace make up for the small room & the 106-step hike to reach it. The queen bed's comfortable and the shower water flow's great. The fridge's convenient and the hot water kettle's a plus. Great if you like to take photos during dawn & dusk. The big awning allows us to stay outside until sleeping time.

"Breathtaking Views!"

10.0

I found this room for rent on Expedia and while I wasn't sure what to expect because you have to walk up 110 steps, I took the chance because of the sea view. I was not disappointed!!!! I asked for directions from the rail station and was able to find it with relative ease. The view from the balcony was simply amazing!! I could not have asked for a better vantage point to see Vernazza from. Additionally the balcony offered a table with chairs and loungers. The room was tidy and clean and it was perfect for us. Such a great time in Vernazza!! I would recommend Camere la Torre to anyone, unless you cannot make the climb up and down the steps, they can be steep and uneven in places.
