"Clean and simple"

8.0

Clean and simple place to stay. At the time of writing Manarola's easy walks are cut off either side - leaving the train (very easy) or much harder walks the only way to get to other towns. Not a reflection on the hotel, but disappointing that lovers walk hasn't been fixed.

"Great hotel, very clean and spacious"

10.0

We had a nice spacious and clean room, however the hotel was hard to find and was quite a trek from the parking lot. Air conditioning means wifi worked great though and we had a very pleasant stay!

"convenient location, clean comfortable room"

8.0

We stayed for 2 nights in May 2014. Very comfortable, modern room with quality bedding. Excellent shower. This isn't a hotel, so there aren't any real amenities, but I didn't book it for the amenities. I booked because of the comments others made about the cleanliness of the room and Simone. He was very helpful and courteous. The only downside, you can hear the train every time it runs through the town, but I personally didn't find this to be a problem, just added to the experience.

"Room Only"

6.0

The facility had been recently renovated so everything was clean and fresh. Room decor was minimal. There was nothing on the walls. I learned that "affitta camere" means "rent a room" so that is all you get is a room - no other services such as breakfast and housekeeping was minimal. The location was very convenient to the train station and very easy to find.

"Great spot"

10.0

Wonderful place to stay. Simone was fantastic. He gave us excellent information to make the most of his stay. We would have liked 2 chairs to sit on, rather than 1. The bathroom is new and clean.

"Fantastic place!!!"

10.0

We had a fabulous stay in Manarola, the cutest and nicest of the 5 Cinque Terre towns (from personal experience of visiting all). Simone, the Manager, is a fun, helpful, easy-going, knowledgeable guy who was a pleasure to deal with at all times. Our room was modern and very comfortable with a lovely balcony opening onto where it was all happening! We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and wished it was longer.

"Basic but close to Manarola train station."

8.0

This hotel was at the end of the tunnel connecting the train station to Manarola village, so very convenient. Large rooms, however very basic. Also our TV didn't work and weren't as comfy as you might hope or expect. There is no breakfast available onsite but a small cafe and supermarket are available downstairs. For the price this place was a bargain, though if you're looking for a hotel or B&B over 2 stars you might want to stay in La Spezia or Levante and catch the train (15mins) to one of the Cinque Terre towns.

"Best hotel on our trip"

10.0

A great hotel. This hotel is literally an apartment building where you'll get a small single room all to yourself. From the hotel attendant (Simone) we found out it was just renovated 3 years ago so everything is brand new. Simone even told us about an app we could download that he created! Its called Cinque Terre and can be downloaded onto apple phones. It has a bit of information regarding each of the 5 towns. Simone also told us where the best paths were and where we needed to be to catch the sunset over the beautiful ocean. The views around Manarola are gorgeous, and even during the off-season time (we went first week in March) the staff was super friendly and helpful. I would recommend the San Giorgio to everyone!
