The hotel had a plush, smart, welcoming entrance. The bar, lounge and dining room were smart up to date and relaxing. The staff were immaculately dressed and cared for my stay very well. The room was very pleasant and well supplied with tea and coffee and replenished and the room was regularly cleaned during the stay. I really hope to stay here again next year.
The shining star of this property was the staff. Every single member of staff we came into contact with were absolutely lovely :))
Last min stay as our return ferry had been cancelled due to poor weather. Booked a family room with cor for baby. The hotel assumed that putting a damilly with 2 small kids on the top floor of their annex with no lift and tight winding staircases was a good isea. It wasn’t Food and service were all fine but the beds are without a doubt, the most uncomfortable i have ever slept in, with rock hard mattresses and pillows well beyond their best. The whole annex need a refurb from top to bottom to at least bring in line with the rest of the hotel which was a little more modern.
Nothing special room wise, average for the price. Best feature was the breakfast and free car parking.

A lovely family friendly hotel. I stayed in August with my 14 year old daughter. Although the corridors and room were slightly dated the en suite bathroom was brand new, the breakfast room light an airy and the bar and lounge areas lovely. The pool was great to have - sun loungers adjacent and also on the upstairs terrace. Plenty parking in the secure car park. The walk into town is not far - 10-15 minutes at the most. We ate in the bar one evening and the food was lovely, great choice and service. We joined in the Friday night quiz, part of the evening entertainment programme (comedian, magician and singer other nights). The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We will definitely visit again.
Hotel is a bit old fashioned but perfectly clean and staff are really friendly and helpful. Family friendly. Breakfast was really good
Fantastic all round for what I am looking for in a break, oldy world style hotel , clean, comfortable, friendly, fantastic staff, parking and only a short manageable walk to town (I am myself disabled), have stayed there many times and will continue to do so
