Hotel Nikolas

The staff are incredibly kind and very professional. While it is not next to the water, the hotel is an excellent value and near to the city center and shopping. The staff will help you with anything and they all speak excellent English. We loved them.

Horrible bed. Told them we would be checking in after 10 pm but we got there and had to wait 25 min for the guy to check us in. Room was in a separate part with access to a creepy back ally to get to the main hotel. Only one plug worked so we couldn’t charge all of our devises. Shower was small and they provided no soap or shampoo. The girl working the day we checked out was so nice and the pool was nice no question. Overall out of the 5 hotels we stayed in over our Greece trip it was the only hotel we would tell ppl to avoid. We would not go back strictly bc of the bed never mind anything else. It would have been better to sleep on the marble floor . Terrible spot.

Friendly people, helpful with transfers, a very nice place to stay

Overall this was a good stay. Comfy beds, really superb front desk staff, cute place. Both the front desk people I worked with were so kind and personable, and SO helpful for recommending things to do and places to eat, and how to get around. No view to speak of, so don’t go in expecting one. There are a couple things that don’t feel very service oriented - one, the pool is closed from some point in the evening to after 9am, maybe even 10am in the morning. Also there is just one row of 5 or 6 pool lounge chairs, close together, and you aren’t allowed to move them at all. The breakfast is overmanaged, and could be better and easier as an overall system.

Rooms are spacious and modern, with a very beautiful mediterranean design. Air conditioning is working very well and you can avoid the hottest hours of the day. We got a room at the first floor that had a small terrace with two sun beds and umbrellas and you could easily see the pool from there. The hotel is located in quiet and has a private parking although the street to get there is quite narrow. It is very close to Fira, only a 5 minutes drive.

Poor and irresponsible customer service! Very unprofessional business! We confirmed with the hotel our flight schedule with a good response from the hotel. It turned out a nightmare that nobody or any instruction for us to check in! Terrible!! I regret that I booked this hotel. Worst hotel on earth!

The property was attractive and the staff was friendly. The location was a bit of a hassle. It’s a 15-minute walk along a very busy (even in off season) road with limited sidewalks to reach Fira. There’s a cute little village behind the hotel, and the buses worked pretty well (get the schedule from the station in Fira, not on the bus stops as they are not updated). Breakfast was acceptable.

The worst people in the world. We arrived at 10 pm and THERE WAS NOONE THERE. We rang and knocked and rang some more for over 30 minutes. We ended up sleeping in the street. This place should be shut down.
