Scuba Lodge & Ocean Suites

The hotel did not disappoint. The location and facilities are amazing - two pools and direct access to the ocean - being able to swim early in the morning by walking a minute from your room is great. We had a GoPro and were so happy to snorkel and positively surprised how clean the water was and the visibility was amazing. Got to see a lot more near the hotel than we did on some of the beaches when it comes to fish :) It is also a close walking distance to the city center district. Breakfast at the restaurant was also tasty. Room was clean, spacious. Staff were kind and helpful. Cons: gets quite noisy from the street (cars) and can be difficult to find a parking spot (parking is free and it seems this is quite a spot for many people to park for free to get to the city center - where there is only a paid parking)

Hotel is nicely renovated. Cool vibe. Location is great- walking distance to city and good restaurants.

Service in restaurant - especially for breakfast is really slow. We booked a oceanview room, but as the room was on the ground floor, there was no oceanview at all. There are onnly a few beachbeds and some of them you even have to pay for.

Staying the first 3 nights of our week-long Curacao visit at Scuba Lodge was the perfect introduction to this island. As fans of preservation, we were impressed by the historic restorations of the 5 beautiful houses that make up this rainbow-colored hotel. Everything in town is merely an interesting urban-Caribbean walk away. We loved having breakfast on the waterfront (we are not big morning eaters so we ordered one generously sized plate to share just because we enjoyed sitting out there. Share the pumpkin pancakes!). We had dinner at the hotel's restaurant one night and it was a very romantic scene dining under the stars (order the coconut soup). The only thing that could make our stay better next time is to book an ocean view room! One tip: We had rented a car for the week but we didn't really need it (to go to the West beaches and explore generally) until the third day. So we could have saved ourselves two days of rental fees. The hotel staff kindly helped us find free street parking as there seems to be no parking on the property.

Very nice and accommodating staff

Our stay was beyond expectation. Cosy hotel, very nice staff, great location. No better place to stay in Willemstad we think. Restaurant and food, absolutely great. The lay-out of the hotel is very special. You get to your room through nice walks in the garden, or through very special corridors. GREAT!

Loved the balcony with seating overlooking the ocean. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the staff were very friendly.

Difficult to find parking. The free welcome drink was limited to only two options and alcohol was not included. My pina colada was way too sweet, I could barely drink any.
