"Short stay in Cortina"

Ideal Ski in Ski out location.. The buffet was good and plentiful, with a good selection, but can be repetitive if staying for a while. The rooms were tidy and clean. The onsen was awesome after a day in the snow.

"Exceptional"

'The palace' as we called it was amazing! The vintage decor transported us to a different era of elegance. The room was spacious and warm with an area to live as well as sleep. The onsen was amazing. Ski in ski out too. Other activities such as hot pot lunch in an igloo was a bonus.

The beginner slopes were not really beginner friendly and English lessons were limited to 600,000 yen private lessons. We went to the next ski resort over (Norikuri) by shuttle bus for our first day to get group English lessons and use their more forgiving beginner slopes to get the hang of it. After that we slowly got the hang of the steeper beginner slopes at Cortina. Overall, it was still far far better than our later stay at Tsugaike Kogan.
