So many wonderful things about this hotel! The staff was by far the BEST of all our travels! Each person we had the pleasure of meeting treated us like old friends 🧡 The rooms were great - lots of space, excellent view, quiet. Breakfast was really well done and included many options. Location is PERFECT! Right on the strip with the Pier across the street, tons of restaurants, coffee, nightlife and even Walgreens. We've stayed here before and will be back!

My family and I stayed for two nights at Pier House 60 Clearwater Beach Marina Hotel in October 2025, and the experience was extremely disappointing. I’m writing this to warn other travelers, as many high ratings seem padded with reviews for the bar, photo sessions, and nearby attractions—not the actual hotel stay. Check-in was slow, and when we asked for enough keys for our family, we were told the hotel didn’t have enough to provide more than two. Those keys repeatedly failed throughout the stay. When we reported it, staff told us to “jiggle it a certain way” or to lift the door handle instead of pulling it down—essentially instructing us to work around a known issue rather than fixing it. Our room was worn, the water pressure was poor, and the air conditioner was extremely loud and malfunctioning. Maintenance acknowledged the AC problem but never returned to repair it. Overnight staff explained that nothing more could be done. Although the hotel later claimed they offered an “immediate” room change, the offer wasn’t made until the end of the second day—when switching rooms was no longer realistic. When I reached out to management, both during and after the stay, the responses were dismissive. They focused on excuses about the hotel’s age and staffing and insisted they had acted promptly, which was not true. The real concerns were never addressed, and months of follow-up emails resulted in no meaningful resolution. A concerning safety incident occurred on our last day when a maintenance worker cut power to an elevator without checking if it was occupied. My family was inside. The elevator suddenly lost power and dropped, causing panic—especially for our child. Despite multiple documented issues—malfunctioning keys, a broken AC, worn room conditions, billing errors, and a serious safety lapse—the only compensation offered was a small resort-fee refund. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing hotel stays we’ve ever had. I strongly urge future guests to read reviews carefully and be aware that many glowing ratings may not reflect actual hotel conditions or guest experiences.

We recently stayed at this hotel and had a great experience overall. Location: You truly can’t beat the location—just one block from the beach and within a 5-minute walk (or less!) to tons of restaurants. Being so close to everything made it incredibly convenient for our family. Atmosphere: The property is clean and easy to navigate. The décor is darker, which doesn’t quite fit the typical bright, beachy vibe you might expect by the ocean. Rooms: Our room was clean and comfortable, with the amount of space we expected. We really appreciated having both a microwave and a refrigerator. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless. There was a little noticeable wear on the chair and vanity, but nothing that impacted our stay. Value: For this area, the value is excellent. Our booking through Sam’s Club included parking and a continental breakfast with warm food options. Given how close we were to the beach and restaurants—and the fact that we even had a partial ocean view—we expected the price to be higher. Cleanliness: Both the room and common areas were well-maintained throughout our stay. Noise Level: The hotel is on a main road, so we did hear traffic at times, but it was expected for such a centralized location. Service: The staff was helpful and friendly from start to finish. One moment that stood out was when housekeeping arranged my daughter’s sleep mask and stuffed animals neatly on her bed—such a thoughtful touch. Amenities: The continental breakfast was great, the heated pool was a nice bonus, and pool towels were provided. There’s also a restaurant/bar on-site, which made it easy to grab food and drinks. Overall, we had a very positive experience and would happily stay here again.
