Brundholme

Location, excellent breakfast and friendly staff.

The shower tray didn't work correctly.

Great location, lovely view and quiet room. Breakfast in next door hotel was nice.

Brundholme is a separate house to the main hotel next door where you have breakfast. Our arrival wasn’t ideal in that we had to rush to get there for 10pm to check in (we were out with friends). Access when you arrive is round the back which we weren’t told so we stood a long time round the front. The reception was a bit brusque with lots of verbal info but none written down in the room. Other staff in main hotel were friendly and helpful the rest of the stay though.

The location perfect near to where we were attending an event, parking, staff so nice felt really welcomed. Breakfast great and a mountain view room.

Absolutely no dislikes. Maybe some coat hooks/bathroom hooks only a suggestion.

Continental breakfast.. no hard boiled eggs. Sliced white bread only.. no rolls. Accepted that some .might want use them for " takeaway lunch".. but surely some way around that!

Because so newly decorated had to ask for finer touches like mirror.

Ideally located and within easy walking distance of both the Lake and town. Comfy bed and clean room, with excellent views over the fells to the north. Quiet location and room. Car parking was available, although this sometimes needed juggling, but all perfectly manageable. It was known in advance, but breakfast, which was excellent, is served in the adjoining hotel, although with Lakeland weather you might need a waterproof.

All good - whilst there was an initial issue with the heating this was resolved by the hotel next door.

Breakfast choice and service was excellent, ran like clockwork. Breakfast is full table service (like it used to be), no scramble at a buffet covered in spilt breakfast cereals and milk. Staff are attentive and friendly. On-site carparking is sufficient and the guesthouse is just a few minutes walk from Derwentwater and Keswick town centre.

Shower cubicle is very small and shower head was loose. A couple of marks on the duvet cover

The gentleman in reception was very friendly and professional. The room was lovely with a nice view overlooking the park. The only slightly irksome thing was there was only one tea sachet provided , other than that very minor oversight our stay was very nice.

More tea , coffee milk.
